Role: Pre-Sales are the technical glue of a technical sale. They act as the sales team's technical encyclopedia during the sale, representing the technical aspects of how the product solves specific customer problems. They perform technical presentations for the product.
Responsibilities: Product expertise
Deeply understand our ecosystem and related market dynamics. Continually upgrade domain knowledge, industry trends and best practices. Master industry orders of magnitudes, main KPIs...
Define and maintain methodology for new vertical launches or new market entries
Working closely with Product team: provide market feedbacks, identify new customers’ needs, participate to product roadmap definition and pricing construction.
Collect and document competitive intelligence.
Secure technical win by differentiating against competition and providing technical closure.
Support Sales Managers and Marketing Managers at field events with product demonstrations and technical subject matter expertise.
Solution development
Partner with sales managers to plan, prepare and execute on strategic deals in complex sales cycles.
Flawlessly master product capabilities and features to be capable to answer prospect questions and creatively propose workarounds to current limitations.
Assist Sales Managers to the qualification of the prospect by collecting and documenting as much information as possible: goal, challenges, painpoints, objectives, scope, sphere of influence, IT architecture, ongoing IT projects, sizing, timing, volumetry (products, users, geographies…).
Draft Sequence of Events and Commercial Proposals in collaboration with Sales Managers.
Assist the Implementation Managers: help understand customer’s architecture and sphere of influence to accurately estimate the scope of the implementation. Provide necessary help to meet targeted timelines without compromising on quality of output.
Value analysis
Match prospect goals / pain / requirements to our solutions. Demonstrate to decision makers how our product will allow them to achieve their strategic goals.
Collaboratively conduct the cost-benefit analysis with the prospect.
Model the financial business case associated with each sales opportunity.
Sales materials and demonstrations
Generate and maintain sales collaterals material for our solutions portfolio. Tailor them to prospects.
Create and maintain end-to-end usecase-specific demonstration scripts mapped to prospects strategic objectives across industries. Run them to demonstrate to prospects how they help them achieve their goals.
Maintain Q&As and technical documentation.
RFP / RFI
Manage and take responsibility for RFP/RFIs response.
Develop responses to all the sections of the RFP/RFIs, both independently as well as coordinating with members from across various streams of business operations.
Methodology
Enforce the Customer Centric Selling methodology across all your work.
Leverage our tools to maximize knowledge sharing, both on product topics and on prospect qualification (Confluence, Salesforce…).
Share best practices, proactively participate in defining, implementing and improving operating procedures.
Requirements:
Proven work experience as a Sales Engineer
Proven track record selling complex enterprise solutions
Ability to forge strong, long-lasting relationships with senior executives
Ability to creatively explain and present complex concepts in an easy to understand manner
Solid technical background with understanding and/or hands-on experience in software development and web technologies
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Excellent presentation and creativity skills
Willingness to travel
BA/BS degree or equivalent, preferably with a numeracy base
