SUMMARY
The FP&A Sr. Manager owns all financial planning, forecasting, reporting, and analysis for ANSYS’ European Sales organization. The individual will serve numerous constituents, with accountability for day-to-day financial support as the Finance partner for the EMEA Sales leadership team.
Planning & Forecasting:
Propose, design, implement, and deliver an on-demand, accurate, driver-based financial ($s) and operational (KPIs) forecasting process. Partner with Business Unit FP&A leads and Sales leadership team to drive alignment through recurring forecasting, planning, and reporting cycles. Develop key sales-to-revenue model input assumptions, including deferred revenue, backlog, multi-year, and new sales ACV. Partner to augment expense model scope, including force-to-load staffing, development costs, vendor costs, cost to acquire, cost to deliver, and cost to serve. Define key performance indicators (KPIs) and link KPIs to financial forecasts and actual performance.Business Partnering:
Serve as the trusted Finance advisor for the EMEA Sales leadership team. Assess risks and opportunities versus annual company targets. Drive strategies to maximize financial opportunities and collaborate to design initiatives to mitigate risks and close gaps. Evaluate forecast outputs to optimize future results. Reconcile and improve data quality; align reporting from various systems covering Bookings, ACV, and Revenue. Assist in defining and standardizing firm-wide business rules to drive reporting consistency. Document baseline financial processes and drive streamlining and simplification. Deliver granular reporting and analyses on monthly/weekly/daily cadence. Design and implement revenue roll forward to link sales inputs to revenue outputs. Implement metrics and reporting on productivity, participation, and utilization. Provide partnership, insight, and guidance to ensure quotas are linked to the business plan. Ensure financial results are standardized, impactful, and understandable for Sales, Finance, and general management audiences.RESPONSIBILITIES
Be a visible, collaborative, accessible leader to both the EMEA Sales leadership team and the Company's entire Finance organization. Partner cross-functionally within ANSYS to prepare financial analysis, decision support analysis, and financial modeling. Provide ad-hoc analytical support. Manage the annual budget cycle, long term strategic plan, and monthly/quarterly forecasts. Establish and maintain strong, cross-functional business relationships with global leaders. Clearly understand business goals through effective and collaborative teamwork. Evaluate growth opportunities as they surface. Recommend actions that align the Company’s long-term growth strategy and short-term financial and operational goals. Prepare and use monthly and quarterly management reporting. Analyze financial results, distill/synthesize key trends, and communicate business insights to senior leadership. Implement and deliver standard and ad hoc reporting, while optimizing for scale and automation. Facilitate finance optimization efforts and help us build a world-class FP&A organization. Develop, standardize, maintain, and drive continuous improvement of all planning and forecasting processes. Partner with Corporate FP&A to drive overall financial support for the organization. Provide appropriate training to enable the adoption of new processes, tools and models. Ensure timely and accurate work product; meet or exceed established service levels.
