This vacancy is a key role that oversees sales activities in our most important and strategic automotive accounts through managing a group of senior key account managers. Responsibilities
Coordinate, influence, and orchestrate all of the appropriate resources for account and/or opportunity development. Lead the activities of sales team, including hiring, coaching, developing talent, team culture and performance management. Drive sales of the entire Autodesk solution to end customers
Achieve assigned financial targets by guiding your team to expand and develop existing named accounts through a direct sales model, or by leveraging partners. “Leading by example” is the philosophy we follow here
Engage and inspire team members to look at near and long term visions of the accounts by helping to formulate appropriate account strategies
Lead your direct reports to identify and develop new opportunities within the Enterprise Account customer base and encourage team members to drive sales pipelines
Join and lead customer meetings on executive level, providing automotive industry domain knowledge, and demonstrating thought leadership
Provide guidance on customer-facing account planning and coach direct reports to improve their plans including, but not limited to, customer ROI, political alignment / executive support, risk identification / mitigation and alignment with Autodesk strategies
Deliver timely and accurate forecast of the business. Have in-depth grasp of the business to facilitate weekly, quarterly and annual forecasts
Provide regular customer feedback to the product, industry and strategic marketing teams, to help identify product strengths and areas of improvement; working in conjunction with the extended team
Establish strong relationships with internal departments such as Finance, Sales Operations and Legal in order to stay abreast of things such as financial reporting, deal development, discount approvals, business models, contract negotiations, etc
Provide input to senior management on strategic business planning matters
Qualifications
A proven track record in strategic sales in the software industry, managing and growing major accounts in a direct Enterprise sales environment, preferably in the automotive or manufacturing / engineering industry
Solid experience in managing sales teams in the software industry, with a proven track record of achievement as a leader
Experience in leading strategic initiatives in a matrixed environment
Ability to influence without authority
Comfortable working in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment and interfacing with all stakeholders at all seniority levels
Business fluency and excellent verbal and written communication skills in English are a must; business fluency in other European languages (e.g. Italian, French…) a definite plus
