Responsibilities

A Pre-Sales is responsible for assisting the sales team with in depth technical knowledge of the company’s product, spotting opportunities and mapping business benefits to features and functions. As a Presales Consultant you will also responsible for demonstrating the product capabilities to prospective Axway customers.
The job holder will be expected to perform the following:
Engage with prospective customers during the sales process to understand their goals and critical business issues and then to position how the company will aid in addressing these areas Provide technical demonstrations of the company’s capabilities to both group and individual audiences Be a technical resource to sales representatives to determine solutions and answer to technical questions. Prepare documented responses to RFIs and RFPs. Correspond and collaborate with various team members to produce best customer advice Construct Proof-of-Concept to prospective customers when needed Create and maintain sample demonstration data in company. Provide training to the sales team on new product enhancements as they become available Work in a manner that provides accountability and visibility on all active tasks

Qualifications

Minimum of 1 year of successful experience in IT Consulting or in a Presales consultant role Strong background in middleware architecture patterns like SOA Good knowledge of API Management strategy and economy. Experience with Microservices, containerization (docker, kubernetes, etc.) Good exposure to architects and enterprise architects Candidate must be self-motivated, detail minded, organized and pursue excellence on all tasks Excellent communication and presentation skills, both verbal and writtenAbility to solve problems using a creative and logical mind set Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or related Engineering subjects Good experience with programming (script shell, curl, Perl, Java, JavaScript) and CI/CD Strong experience with Service Oriented Architecture and APIs (API REST, API Management, Event Messaging) Proven track records in integration projects Knowledge of cloud native architectures (istio, envoy, helm etc.) Knowledge of Kafka is a plus Ability to articulate the value of technical capabilities to different audiences.
