Position Overview
DoubleVerify seeks a talented and resourceful Commercial Director for the French and Southern European territory to lead our sales teams in these markets. This unique individual's primary responsibility will be to serve as the leader of the French & Southern European Sales Team while also establishing, maintaining and enhancing our relationships with senior stakeholders across the largest brands, agencies and trading desks in the region. We are looking for a team player that takes initiative, has an entrepreneurial spirit, and knows how to create partnerships and sophisticated agreements that last. This senior sales leader is someone who has experience evangelizing products, negotiating commercial agreements, and managing/coaching a sales team to carry the sales process from prospecting to close. This is an opportunity to lead a hyper-growth division of a leading technology company that is transforming the online media industry.
Responsibilities
Establish and grow our relationships with senior-level decision-makers across the largest agencies and brands across France, Greece, Italy, Portugal and Spain.
Negotiate and structure commercial agreements to drive adoption of DoubleVerify's services and technology
Lead a geographically dispersed sales team to drive continuous revenue growth in-territory through new business acquisition
Manage French and Southern European revenue forecasting with precision to the MD EMEA
Present DoubleVerify's solutions to key decision-makers within brands, agencies and trading desks
Partner with internal support teams to ensure maximum levels of client-facing customer service
Attend industry events and speak as a representative of DoubleVerify to the larger digital marketing industry
Some light travel dependent on customer needs
Requirements
Must be comfortable communicating internally and externally in English and French
Stellar sales performance through resourceful execution
Excellent understanding of agency dynamics, how they operate and how/what campaign buying and planning entails
Must have extensive contacts at top interactive agencies/brand advertisers (including trading, media, operations, analytics) and have a strong knowledge of accounts, planning teams and planning cycles
Must show accountability/ownership through every stage of the client relationship
Must have experience creating partnerships based on value
Strong knowledge of online marketing techniques and technologies (platforms, DSPs, exchanges, etc.)
Proven ability to manage sellers' pipelines and accurately forecast revenue
Able to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
Ability to analyse and articulate data into a sales proposition a plus
Collaborate with multiple internal teams to ensure market needs are met
Excellent presentation and communication skills, both in-person and over the phone
Bachelors or Master's degree preferred
Ability to speak additional languages (beyond English and French) is strongly preferred
10+ years' experience in internet media/technology sales
Proficient in MS Office and Salesforce
