The Position

Italy Sales Account Manager (Agri, Pharma, Specialties and Food)

Job Summary

Summary

Manages customer relationship, grow profitable sales and drive customer satisfaction in Italy for the markets Agriculture, Pharma , Specialties and Food according to the strategy of the Market

Responsibilities

• Drive profitable sales growth based on understanding of customer needs, competitive situation and value proposition with existing accounts and new accounts • Define and execute commercial strategy / action plan for each customer in collaboration with commercial manager as well as marketing and technical support functions (incl. proposal for budget, commercial conditions, action plan to increase profitability,…) • Negotiate price increase / share of wallet increase / commercial package depending on agreed strategy as well as associated terms & conditions (with the support of legal) • Visit customers regularly and prepare in CRM detailed sales visit / call reports as well as monthly reports analyzing performance vs. plan • Handle significant complaints in terms of customer relationship (information collection, communication of investigation progress and conclusion and corrective actions) and monitor customer satisfaction • Ensure on-time cash collection • Actively collect and document in CRM marketing intelligence about customer including mineral consumptions, performance requirement, competitors’ products and their performance / price, opportunity pipeline, development projects as well as market trends (from a geographic or market standpoint) • Generate ideas of new products to feed the innovation pipeline based on key performance target of customers or their future needs • Prepare and achieve budget and forecasts for S&OP and finance purposes

Accountability

P&L accountability: sales to gross margin and accounts receivables • Year-on-Year profit growth depending on market conditions • Imerys ’ long-term customer relationships Effective and customer-centric organization

Title, position in the organization & grading

• Reporting 50% to Personal Care, Food & Pharma Sales Director and 50% to Agriculture, Cat litter & Intermediaries Sales Director • Resources/team: – Animate all Imerys teams involved with accounts – Key external stakeholders: key decision makers & major stakeholders at customer • Grading: N-4 / L5 • Location: Italy

Competencies and experience

Key competencies • Strong customer sense • Strong negotiation and communication skills • Business acumen and technical appetite • Good understanding of basic financial and legal concepts • Outgoing, result oriented, concern for impact, good interpersonal skills

Ideal background/ experience • Engineering or Marketing degree • 3+ or more years of experience in Sales, Account Management or Business Development. • Speak fluently Italian language
