Sales Director - Mars Food
Define and lead the Customer and Trade Strategy for Food France (Retail, E-Business and Food Service), in line with the Business ambition in both short and long term. Ensure its deployment and follow through by leading the tariff, assortment, merchandising and promotional plans negotiations. Engage our customers to drive short and long term growth in our Food categories.
Deliver Food France annual plan (NSV, Volume, NSV/T, Customer profitability, Customer Engagement) by working in close collaboration with Category and Customer Marketing, Consumer Marketing, S&F, Supply, Sales Force and other support functions to ensure Food France target achievements in terms of growth, market share, financial shape (contribution) and long term customer engagement.
Contribute actively to Mars Food France Leadership Team (FLT), in crafting Mars Food France ambition and mid-term plan and in executing business strategies. Be a member of the Global Food Customer Leadership team.
Key Responsabilities
Build and lead a talented & experienced Food sales negotiating team (Key Account and Category Management)Teamswith clear contribution at each level, support and accompany KAM in negotiation when needed vs customer organization.
Lead and develop the newly implemented dedicated Field Force (45 FTE)
Ensure in depth French customer understanding and customer insights conversion into relevant market led action plan together with Customer Marketing and Consumer Marketing Teams.
Define, recommend and implement annual Trade strategy (overall and by customer) in line with local market ambition.
Lead the Joined Business Plans (assortment, merchandising, promotion) with our customers, and engage them to drive short and long term growth in our Food categories.
Establish strong relationship with Customer Marketing, Consumer Marketing, Sales Force, Market logistic, Sales Operations… ensuring to deliver sales KPI’s incl. category leadership, optimized promotional plan, optimized financial shape by customer, customer service level...
Deliver annual negotiation in line with Food targets and well balancing short term achievements and long terms goals, recommend when needed corrective/ opportunistic action plan.
Be a key contributor to Food France strategy formation (Long term and annual) within the Food Leadership Team France and the Food Regional Team.
Lead the DMR and ensure internal process and reporting well respected (eg cash management, S&OP…)
Contribute to further nourish successful Mars France Sales Directors cross-category transversal collaboration and customer coordination with Mars Petcare, Mars Chocolate & Wrigley (Force 4). Food segment is the current LEAD
Build and capitalize on relevant external network (ILEC…) to the benefit of Mars France.
Represent Food France within the Global Food Customer Leadership Team.
Contribute to Food France overall Associate engagement, and to establish Food as an attractive segment with passionate & talented Associates.

Profile
Business or Engineering Master’s Degree or equivalent.
10-15 years of successful Customer Management experience in FMCG environment, with team management responsibilities, ideally completed by Category and Customer Marketing, Consumer Marketing or Field Sales Force experiences.
Fluent in English
