The Role

We are seeking a creative and tenacious Channel Account Manager, Southern Europe (France, Spain, Portugal, Italy) to support the overall direction, strategy and execution of the EMEA channel sales business within the region. The Channel Account Manager will act as an integral member of the sales organisation by leveraging the partner community in the region. The successful candidate will possess a strong business acumen with the energy and drive to succeed.

Proofpoint is growing fast – over 35% year-on-year; as a result we are upscaling our EMEA Channel team to drive demand.

Your day-to-day

Drive the engagement with partners and EMEA Channel Account Management team to assist with deal registration approval / denial process Work with our silver partners at end of month and end of quarter to ensure order accuracy and thus ease of doing business Create business plans for the top Silver Partners and drive them to achieve Gold Status within our program Conduct pro-active on-going training presentations with the Proofpoint sales teams to ensure they understand how to engage with, how to build, and how to grow the Proofpoint business with the help of our Channel Partners Integral in driving pipeline, sales qualification, and closing of business via Silver Channel Partners A key member of the channel team, helping meet and exceed the channel bookings revenue and ARR quotas set for the organisation Work closely with our Distribution Partners to identify new potential Partners Assist sales with process to generate and provide quotes Understand the Silver partners business to allow them to differentiate from other partners Take Partners through the enablement process to get their sales and pre-sales trained Create partner marketing campaigns to build partner pipeline

What you bring to the team

Deep understanding of the role of the channel Passionate, engaging and enjoys knowledge sharing and training others Commands a presence in-front of an audience Strong written and verbal communication skills and be able to clearly and effectively articulate Proofpoint's value proposition and the value of channel both internally and externally Ability to work in a fast-moving environment, to prioritize effectively to think big picture, and to use good judgment in resolving difficult issues Experience managing resellers, ideally in the information security and data archiving markets Bachelor’s Degree Strong Channel experience with a proven track record of success Fluent English and French language skills
