The Role

We are looking for a proven expert in cybersecurity, email, CASB and data protection as Sales Engineer based in France to the French Enterprise Market. You will be working within the South EMEA sales team supporting our Regional Sales Manager, sales staff, channel partners and customers.

In this role you will deliver exciting and informative product demonstrations to potential and current Proofpoint customers, assist in professional services deployments, technical training, and industry seminars and/or trade shows.
This position will report into our Field Sales Engineering Manager in France and traveling is part of this position.

Your day-to-day

Collaborate with Proofpoint sales professionals as well as channel partners, to help deliver the most successful security platform for each customer Take the lead as the customer’s technical main point of contact and become the trusted advisor. This may include technical Q&A, proof-of-concept, competitive bake-off scenarios, RFP response and more, with the ultimate goal of maintaining a world class customer experience Design complex email and data security solutions and assist in the building of quotations for customer sales presentations Share and relay experiences and customer feedback to Product Management, Marketing and Product Development (Engineering) teams to help our tradition of continuous improvement

What you bring to the team

Expert level experience in cybersecurity, either secure messaging, content, CASB or application security Experience managing or implementing enterprise email solutions such as Exchange or Lotus Domino or savant level knowledge of SMTP Extensive industry experience in technical support, professional services or sales engineering Experience selling software solutions to mid-enterprise and larger organizations Deep understanding of the market landscape and competition Other helpful experience includes o Experience administering or deploying Firewall, IPS/IDS, Web Proxy, Sandboxing, CASB
o Experience administering or deploying Linux/Unix systems
o Understanding of / or experience with Directory Services including Active Directory, Novell, Sun ONE, et al
o Thorough understanding of various web and network protocols including SMTP, LDAP, HTTP, TCP and more
o Excellent communication (written and verbal), presentation and negotiation skills
Fluency in French and English is required for this role Bachelors Degree in Computer Science preferred, but not required CISSP or other industry certification optional
