Job Description
The Sales Engineer has the responsibility of promoting VIAVI brand and in-field equipment to the various Orange UI’s and laboratories. You will be the primary owner of the key tactics within Orange Operations Department. The objective is to maximize VIAVI sales into Orange via an extensive and capillary activity of promotion and support in the target account. You will work closely with the Orange GKAM, who is responsible for coordinating the overall strategy. Moreover, you will also be responsible for addressing and developing business at Orange main contractors companies.
Duties and Responsibilities
Maximizing VIAVI sales at these accounts and seeking new business opportunities for field instruments and complex systems sales.
Organizing technical seminars at Orange UI’s and contractors.
Leading promotion activities (in the form of mail marketing campaigns, etc.)
Capturing key customers pain points and requirements and translate / promote internally into new product requirements / product concepts whose implementation can enable new product adoption and/or higher levels of business.
Building and maintaining good relationships at operational levels within Orange and its ecosystem (contractors stakeholders, technical evaluators, technical and procurement managers).
Managing internal reporting requirements, this being monthly forecasts and Sales Force ticket creation and updating.
Customers’ visits and traveling across France.
Liaising with divisional contacts.
Preparing quotation with emphasis on benefits, feature, technical, commercial and contractual requirement, and order confirmation details
Performing direct marketing activities.
Providing pre- and post- sales service to customers and following up delivery.
Developing business, account and deal plans.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications & Experience
High level of technical knowledge of Test & Measurement sector and related field instrumentation.
Ability to perform detailed demonstrations of field instruments and promote key differentiators to various stakeholders.
Knowledge of Orange Operations Department and Orange UE’s would be an advantage.
Good communications, presentation skills and interpersonal skills
Proven experience or ability to deliver technical seminars to large audiences.
Experience in performing pre-sales as well as post-sales technical support
Team working skills.
Spotting business development capability.
Ability to adhere to complex multinational organization processes and procedures.
