Senior Investment Risk Manager - (F/H)

We are offering the opportunity to join the Financial Risk Management team of the AXA Group, which core missions consist in the identification, reporting and management of financial risks (market, credit, liquidity) and investment risks. 

As an investment risk manager, you will embrace challenge, contribute to the decision making and monitoring processes throughout the AXA Group on the full investment spectrum, with a strong focus on Alternative Assets, while also helping to identify, investigate, quantify, and mitigate any potential financial risks emerging. 

Your main responsibilities will be: 

To lead and perform independent 2nd opinion, ensuring a diligent and in-depth review of new investment proposals on a broad scope of asset classes (credit, infrastructure, real estate, private equity, etc.)

To engage with the various stakeholders, including but not limited to internal and external asset managers, investment teams and local risk departments
To present complex topics, articulate with the AXA portfolio and draw recommendations
To carry out stress-test/risk scenarios, assess the impacts and design mitigating actions
To oversee some asset classes, monitoring the performance and risk factors and perform deep-dive reviews on certain strategies, market segments or industries
To keep abreast to the latest industry news and trends, regulatory changes, etc.

To get a strategic and holistic vision of the investment strategy of an insurance company, being at the heart of the investment decision-making and financial optimization process 

To cover a multi asset-class exposure allowing the job holder to reinforce its expertise and develop on others
To develop both hard and soft skills, as the position is at the crossroad of technical expertise, inquisitive mind-set, and capacity to convince and negotiate

Votre Profil

7 to 10 years of relevant experience within best-in-class financial institutions: capital markets and/or asset management and/or investment counseling and/or investment risk management

A deep knowledge of one or more asset classes would be preferred 

CFA or equivalent certifications would be a plus

Proactive thinking and open mind-set

Structured way of working, with attention to detail

Robust written and verbal communication skills (fluent English is essential)

Proven collaboration and teamwork skills as the role involves a large part of interactions 

Agility and strong sense of accountability
