Description of the job

A vacancy for an API & Integration Product Owner (m/f) has arisen within Airbus Commercial Aircraft in Toulouse. You will join the API & Integration products team within Digital Accelerator team.

The Digital Accelerator is an integral part of Airbus' IT department and is building and operating new business platforms and services adopting new technologies, automation, digital native skills and agile ways of working to accelerate our digitalization journey.
APIs play a key role in this digital transformation, enabling users to easily connect and share key information across diverse IT systems, building more collaborative ways of working, and increasing innovation and new business opportunities. As part of the API architecture, the Integration platform consists of a catalogue of services that provide application to application connectivity and interaction through ESB, XML Gateway, ETL, etc.

As an API & Integration Product Owner (m/f), your role will be to drive the end-to-end industrialization process of the platform. You will be responsible for providing guidance to the development and operational teams during the development phase and QA process. Working in close collaboration with the product manager and the architect to define the backlog, you will make sure deadlines are respected.

Tasks & accountabilities

As an API & Integration Product Owner (m/f), you will:

o Follow-up developments and ensure quality of the delivery,
o Partner with IT and operations stakeholders to define, prioritize and execute the backlog linked to the platform industrialization,
o Provide solutions to automate recurrent tasks (functional tests, technical tests, automatic data retention, automatic account renewal, Log management…),
o Ensure the successful operation and ongoing enhancement of the platform.

You will be working in small and self-sufficient multi-disciplinary teams and you will be encouraged to Agile best practices.

This role will involve some travel for business and as such you must be able to travel accordingly.

This job requires an awareness of any potential compliance risks and a commitment to act with integrity, as the foundation for the Company’s success, reputation and sustainable growth.

Required skills

We are looking for candidates with the following skills and experience:

o Master degree in Computer Science or a related discipline,
o Minimum of ten years of experience in IT with a focus on a large-scale enterprise API Architecture,
o Proven experience with deployment and operations of middleware technologies (ESB, XML Gateway, ETL…),
o Experience working with local and remote teams to identify, document and help deliver project output,
o Detail oriented with advanced written and verbal communication skills,
o Proficiency in team building and resource management,
o Good knowledge of agile methodologies (SAFe, SCRUM, kanban) and ITIL best practices,
o Negociation level of English.
