A great opportunity for a job of Simulator Test Engineer (m/f) has arisen in Airbus Toulouse.

Within the "Aircraft Integration & Control" department of the integration Test Centre, the "Simulator Testing" group is in charge of:

Performing and optimizing multi-system operational tests on simulators for all Airbus programs including A400M to ensure the clearance of the test flights, the systems and functions maturity, and to lead specific certification items. Ensuring operational test campaign for human factor evaluation and/or validation of new operational concepts and functions

As a Simulator Test Engineer, you will be accountable in term of Time, Cost, and quality for:

Coordination and execution of functional and multisystem tests on aircraft 0 simulators Reporting on test means status, on tests progress to Design Office and Test Coordinator

You will develop Airline like approach on simulator tests to early improve aircraft maturity and Operational Reliability.

You will work in strong cooperation with System Test engineers, Design offices, Flight test engineers and Test pilots, Programs and Customer Support.

You will be in charge of leading the followings activities:

Collaborate with Design Office to define the tests needed to cover safety, certification and maturity promote and coordinate functional and multi-systems tests Coordinate, organize, prepare and execute the functional and multi-systems tests Provide analysis and recommendation following test sessions Manage defects Ensure the session efficiency During new concepts feasibility or development phases, provide an operational environment and test scenarios, immersing flight crews in realistic situations to validate the new functions. Verification of conformity with the needs Evaluation of ergonomic aspects of new Human Machine Interfaces (HMI), Evaluation of human factors aspects, such as the cockpit crew’s workload and stress, Evaluation of impact on standard operating procedure (SOP). Contribute to the process and tools improvements, through innovation and digital transformation

As the successful candidate you will be able to demonstrate some or all of the following skills and competencies:

Educated to a 5 years degree level (or equivalent) in Aeronautics /Mechanics Experience in Aircraft System ATA 22 and flight physics would be appreciated Experience in data analytics would be appreciated Good communication skills and a proactive approach to problem solving; The ability to work to strict timescales as part of an integrated, multidiscipline team; Open-minded, pro-active, with a problem-solving and decision-making mind-set, Good leadership skills Project Management experience is a plus Assertiveness A negotiation level in French & English is needed
