Business environment

CTL organization provides test system services and support to both the Engineering Community & external customers, on complex cross division and cross site projects.

The PRF team’s mission is to take care about the performance of Amadeus applications and ensure that Amadeus products have a high responsiveness in order to maintain customer satisfaction and optimize HW resources use.

To achieve this:

We run performance tests campaigns on our own infrastructure. It is done in NCE, BLR and also externalized.

We provide coaching and solutions to other teams to be able run themselves some performance tests campaigns.

All of these thanks to a team of motivated and multi-cultural engineers with different assets: Performance Test Engineers, Architects and a System Administrator.

Purpose

In the role you will:

Develop, execute performance tests (load tests, stress tests, scalability tests …) and monitor statistics as CPU, Response Time, Memory consumption … with the aim of keeping the software performance at expected quality level.

Identify bottlenecks and give recommendation for enhancing performance. Beforehand, help clients todefine performance testing objectives and requirements.

Provide support and short training to our internal customer around the solutions we offer to test applications performance (Perf ecosystem).

Help the team to transition from the old ecosystem to its new technical stack: Gatling Frontline, Prometheus Monitoring, Grafana.

Key accountabilities

* Implement performance test strategy for their area, in compliance with the global test strategy.

* Prepare test environment : install applications on dedicated servers based on installation documentation & on discussions with development teams

* Define, design, develop and execute automated performance test scripts and test scenario.

* Drive test campaigns & provide recommendations for load in production (this can include creation of PTRs when issues are detected)

* Investigate performance results to identify bottlenecks and make recommendation for enhancing performances

* Report and communicate on test activities to the line organization & to development teams

* Support our counterparts in BLR and DBS.

* Participate to the requirements definition of our internal toolset to fit new applications’ architecture.

Education

Master in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent

Fluent oral and written English

Technical skills:

Linux advanced

Bitbucket / Git

Java or C++, any other programing language (Python, Scala ....)

Nginx, Apache, JBoss, Weblogic

Containers, OpenShift basic knowledge is a plus

Relevant work experience

Software development experience in a J2EE or C++ environment.

Previous experience in performance testing is a plus.
