SUMMARY
We are looking for talented, passionate Product Manager to drive product development in a fast-paced environment. The Product Manager contributes to development of the ANSYS Platform portfolio and is responsible for ensuring that our solution fully meets market requirements. The PM plays a proactive role in product planning and design to ensure the product meets all requirements and is differentiated in the marketplace. The PM participates in the entire product cycle, working closely with development, sales, and marketing. The position also requires a strong presence at industry events as a key advocate for the ANSYS solution and vision.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Working with customers, partners, defines product specifications and requirements leveraging an understanding of the marketplace and technology trends and overall business objectives around Simulation process and data management topics
As the hands-on technical domain expert, evaluates and prioritizes requests for product changes, enhancements, new product features and design flows.
Adept at project management, brings a keen eye for attention to detail and overall user experience, participates in the entire development cycle of the product, working closely with the development, UX, testing, and documentation teams on execution
Works closely with support and services team to ensure successful evaluation and adoption of our products while keeping an eye for continuous improvements.
Keeps a keen eye on competitive products and strategies. Proactively highlights and addresses any technical gaps.
Assist marketing with technical white papers, application notes, conference/journal proceedings, product positioning presentations, and webinars
Evangelizes the solution internally and externally; Maintains close relationships with customers to remain aware of customer needs and perspectives
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s degree in science or engineering
8 years of combined working experience with CAE software, and industry standard PLM or Simulation Lifecycle Management software.
Experience with Programming/scripting is required.
Working knowledge of CAE software, Project/Consulting experience including but not limited to customer process mapping, CAE/CAD/PLM integration, process automation, Services (development), configuration and deployment with Customers is strongly desired
Demonstrated technical acumen and project planning skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
This position requires a moderate amount of travel
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Master’s Degree preferred
Experience with Agile development processes, exposure Systems engineering, and Big data projects will be a plus.
