POSITION CONTEXT & SUMMARY
After a long & competitive selection process, AXA has won in 2018 a key global bancassurance partnership with ING expected to deliver high business volumes, across various countries and business lines.
Much more than a simple distribution agreement, this strategic partnership for the group is considered as a catalyst to accelerate the Group transformation and create tomorrow’s way of delivering protection to customers.
It involves a strong level of innovation & transformation to design disruptive insurance & assistance solutions delivered through highly customer centric journeys.
In this context, a fully dedicated team has been created to implement & manage this partnership with the various AXA entities & teams involved but also with ING teams.
The global team is composed of both a central team (in charge of designing the value proposition and steering the overall partnership) and local teams (in charge of successfully implementing the solutions designed in their respective markets).
Together, we will shape the market, building a scalable international platform that unifies multiple markets, creating one ecosystem of protection propositions and experiences across Life and Non-life products.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
The product owner works closely with AXA local product owners, central & local insurance experts and ING product owners to deliver the IT impacts of the ecosystem value proposition that he/she oversees.
The Product Owner will be:
Managing and updating the Product Backlog Daily: centralizing business, data, IT needs and adding them to backlog, splitting features into User Stories (aka Product Backlog Items (Pbis), prioritizing and asking for estimates for each User Story
After some Refinement Meetings, documenting all the feature requirements with the help of a Business Analyst and other team members and stakeholders
Performing any backlog or other tooling analysis enabling proper decisions
Designing, drafting and stabilizing User Stories (Pbis), including Acceptence Criterias (AC)
Leading the Agile Way of Working ceremonies related to Sprint Planning and attending other Agile ceremonies (Dailies, Sprint Reviews, Retrospective, Refinement Meetings)
Coordinating various stakeholders to ensure the daily backlog management
Answering daily questions from the Squads
Escalating any risks or issues on the backlog or squad
Sharing progress of work with the head of IT, Global Proposition Manager & insurance experts
Maximizing customer and business value by assisting the Global Proposition Manager & insurance experts in building, prioritizing and ordering backlogs which drive impact and delivery
Establishing the Burn-Down indicator or any other performance indicator to assess product value
Dealing with a global and coherent approach between the several countries
Delivering a high-quality API-based integration layer between ING and local AXA entities
Identifying some features or components that could be mutualized between different ecosystems
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
• Experience
10+ years’ experience in Business & IT program management
3+ years of experience as Product Owner in insurance, retail banking, fintech/start-up and/or consulting experience, in an international environment
Ideally master’s degree in IT or related fields
Experience in the insurance industry and/or APIs is highly appreciated
Experience in agile way of working
Proven success in managing international projects and coordinating various stakeholders
