What is the Opportunity?
Axway is looking to expand our Paris Development Centre with an innovative and enthusiastic Technical Product Manager who will lead our Financial Integration solution.
We are looking for a Technical Product Manager to join us in our Paris office and help take our Financial Exchange offering to the next level. Financial exchange is an integration solution that allows financial institutions and corporates to manage their payments flows in a secured and automated way.
The focus will be on the API-zation of the solution, and the enhancements required to address the new emerging Instant payment use case.
As a Product Manager what will you be doing?
For the first 3 months: Your primary focus will be on working with the current product manager designing how to enhance the solution to address the Instant payments use case, and how to develop APIs and make the solution more flexible so it integrates in its environment more smoothly; you will spend a significant portion of your time working closely with the R&D teams, writing detailed EPICs, collaborating on User Stories and designing mockups.
Work with the Product management to translate our company and solution strategy into a prioritized roadmap, gaining buy-in from internal stakeholders (sales, marketing, support, R&D) and most importantly from customers
Collaborate with R&D teams to translate the roadmap into an actionable, prioritized backlog, ensuring our R&D teams are always working on the highest value items.
Understand our customers through research and regular interactions with them so that you can effectively communicate their challenges and goals to the development teams both verbally and via use cases
Investigate new trends and new regulations in the payment ecosystem with a particular focus in Europe
Validate your proposed product features with customers, both in terms of how to execute them and priority.
Retrospect new features and the entire product with the Product Management team so that we continuously improve our decision-making and rectify bad decisions quickly.
Drive efficiency: Practice value driven decision making. Validate designs with customers prior to developing. Build flexible solutions, rationalize existing services, modify and reuse existing Axway or 3rd party components and services when appropriate
Own the quality of your product, both in terms of robustness and user-experienc
Role includes occasional travel
What skills do we look for?
Proven expertise and knowledge of the ecosystem of payments (banks, corporates, market infrastructures, SWIFT, SEPA) throughout Europe
A good technical understanding and relevant hands-on experience of data exchange/integration/middleware domain (MFT / EAI / EDI / ETL / ESB, etc.)
Experience working on enterprise software products is essential
Knowledge of and some hands-on experience designing Consumer APIs and validating same with customers
Ability to turn the complex into the simple. You must be able to understand the problems of technical customers and translate their needs into well-defined stories for our development teams.
You make data-driven decisions and can clearly explain the rationale and principles behind them.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills (excellent working knowledge of English isessential).
Ability to work well in a multi-cultural, cross-functional, geographically-distributed environment.
You have a passion for learning and constantly seek to improve your knowledge and skill set.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree or comparable academic training in User-Centred Design, Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, Management Information Systems, Computer Information Systems.
Master of Science or comparable post-graduate academic training, a plus.
3+ years of progressive product leadership with a reputation of delighting customers, meeting tight deadlines, and fostering collaborative working relationships with engineering.
Experience in the creation of enterprise product solutions from inception to release with meaningful results measured in terms of customers, revenue and/or market share.
Background with direct responsibility as a user experience designer, business analyst, presales consultant, or technical support engineer, a plus.
