Job Description

IFF is growing and we are looking for a dedicated and passionate individual to join our Lucas Meyer Cosmetics team!

As a Senior Product Manager - Active Ingredients, you will manage a part of the portfolio of Lucas Meyer Cosmetic Active Ingredients that are sold worldwide.  You will be responsible for implementing business strategies and driving profitable business growth for Lucas Meyer Cosmetics. You will be part of a high-performing team that requires  to be self-starters who possess strong financial acumen, ability to think creatively and analytically as well as able to manage multiple projects and/or tasks in a fast-paced environment. In addition, our Product Manager should possess strong interpersonal skills since this role will require to interface with many persons. 

The future position holder will be preferentially based in Massy, France, but could be possibly based remotely across France, Denmark, Germany, Spain or UK.

Responsabilities:

Develop, organize, and implement a global marketing strategic plan and initiatives for the launch of new products and new concepts (product enhancement) and for the promotion of the existing product portfolio;
Management of all aspects of products launch and product enhancement, from innovation process (brief to R&D to commercialization), development of new promotional tools, and realizing marketing programs in line with company sales strategy;
Develop and adjust positioning concepts for the ingredients to answer to the trends in the market and assure growth.  
Assure the interface with and influence decision making in the R&D, formulation, sales, marketing, supply chain, regulatory affairs, quality, customer care and finances functions in order to deliver products aligned with Lucas Meyer Cosmetics branding and deadlines;
Support the sales team, including customer visits and tradeshows;
Develop and implement sales arguments, develop sales tools for the products and provide training programs and support the training of the salespeople to improve and promote the product knowledge and deepen the argumentation to the products;
Provide and analyze statistics from sales, turnover, profit margin and life cycles of the active ingredients;

Job Requirements

Qualifications

Required :

You have a University degree in cosmetics sciences or biology preferred; a marketing specialisation or MBA or a relevant experience is an asset;
The preferred candidate will have a minimum 5 years of experience as a product manager for ingredients in the cosmetic industry or 5 to 10 years of experience in similar industries (sales / marketing) 
Available of occasional traveling (20%)
Bilingual English and French

Assets:

Experience in analyzing market data and sales analysis tools;
Experience in product development with a R&D team;
Ability to understand financial data (P&L, price analysis, etc.);
Knowledge of social networks and new media.
