Invacare seeks an enthusiastic and talented professional to join the position of a Group Product Manager Medium Active Wheelchairs based at our site Invacare France Operations in Fondettes (near Tours, France), starting as soon as possible.
The product range of Invacare’s Medium Active wheelchairs consists of wide range of products that are manufactured in Fondettes and are sold throughout Europe, Middle East, Africa, ANZ, Asia and North America. It is a well-established and very successful range with high market shares. The position requires frequent travel, mainly within Western Europe. A very versatile position in an international company with lot’s opportunities for personal growth.
LEADER FOR THE PRODUCT CATEGORY: ACCOUNTABLE FOR EVERYTHING THAT TOUCHES THE PRODUCT RANGE: Key result of this role is to ensure:
Lifecycle Roadmap: IVC current and future portfolio meets customer’s (dealers, therapist, end-users, payers) needs
The IVC sales team have the right tools and know how to use them in selling the portfolio
BUILD A CATEGORY SOLID STRATEGY: Define the long term strategic plan for the products in the segment. Define targeting, positioning and drive pricing for optimizing margin & maximizing financial return.
PRODUCT MANAGEMENT: Follow AOP / Strat Plan target and develop tactical plans in order to ensure that the business goals are achieved. Ensure profitable sales growth year over year. Responsible for the P&L of the Category. Responsible for reviewing product information data to ensure that the field force is kept up to date on new developments regarding the company or competitors’ products.
INPUT TO PRODUCT DEVELOPMENT: In collaboration with R&D, Sourcing and IVC Sales Teams, Lead the process for the requirements definition for current and future products. Together with the Countries develop and follow business cases & recommend project prioritization. Accountable for new products arrive on time, quality and cost.
SALES SUPPORT: Provide commercial support for current and new products in terms of: a) Sales story development and execution, b) Competitive rebuttal package development. Delivery Product training (with a special focus in the product USPs): together with the Training Department, Responsible for providing the sales team with the necessary technical expertise to enable them to sell the product
BS/BA in Engineering, Marketing, or related field.
Bachelor's or Master's Degree
10 - 15 years of experience in Marketing / Product Management with specific experience in global/ international management and in the creation of successful new products / services.
French and Fluent English (verbal and written).
Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office proficiency.
Desirable experience in medical devices, healthcare industry.
Strategic & analytical skills. Very strong organizational skills, Problem Solving, Critical Thinking and Decision Making.
Business oriented, commercial desire. Energy / Passion to win. Demonstrated ability to drive change and deliver value. Creativity, “think out of the box” approach.
Excellent communication skills (presentation, negotiation, written communication, interpersonal). Very strong listening skills. Ease of working with other cultures and cross-functional teams.
