Irdeto France is an innovative provider of software for Digital TV devices and systems for several market-leading TV Operators around the world. Irdeto France products include DVB Middleware for developing set-top box applications and more (related to Android, UHD, Home Network, Video on Demand and Over-The-Top video streaming).

We work in a tight-knit team of intelligent, quality-driven Engineers in a small-sized, modern office in the heart of central Paris. We value collaboration and enjoy working closely with each other as well as frequently liaising with the Engineering teams in South Africa, India, Netherlands and China.

We are looking for a dynamic, open-minded and forward-thinking Senior Software Engineer in Test (M/F) who wants to make an impact in our team and our business worldwide. We act fast, agile and strive for the best solutions – if this suits you well, then continue reading!

Every day brings a new technical challenge where you are expected to make a direct impact. You will be involved in the automation testing of new features and updates for the middleware products for our customers. You get to make decisions on which tools and methodologies will be used to get to the best result. There is also a vast amount of training opportunities available and support from the friendly and knowledgeable team to continue to grow as a technical professional.

Your main responsibilities:

Review the product specifications and functional requirements documents. Define the test strategy and required test infrastructure for the product. Design the test procedures (test scripts) for mainly automated testing (very little manual testing involved). Test execution on Sanity, Regression, Functional, and Performance Testing. Analyze, reproduce and report software defects and special situations. Ensure that the test results are recorded in accordance with specified Irdeto standards. Manage the reported defect resolution process with the appropriate Managers in the software development team. Frequent liaison with customer services and/or other Irdeto departments.

Who are we looking for:

You have obtained a Master’s Degree in Computer Science, Telecommunications or a related field. You bring at least 5+ year’s experience in professional software testing experience. You have an experience with automated testing. You have an experience in defining test strategy. You have an experience with defects tracking system. You are familiar with the Agile Scrum development process. You have proficient verbal and written English and French language skills. You thrive working in an international, fast-paced technology-driven environment. You are eligible to work in France (you must already have the needed visas/work permits before joining).

Vos missions:

Participer à la définition de la stratégie de validation du produit (Définition de la couverture de test, tests de détection de régression, tests fonctionnels, tests de performance). Définir les infrastructures de test nécessaires à la validation du produit. Définir les procédures de validation automatisées. Contribuer au développement et à l’amélioration des outils de test automatisé. Gestion du processus de résolution des problèmes en relation avec les équipes de développement. Pilotage et analyse des résultats des campagnes de test automatiques intégrées au « build en continu ». Veiller au respect des échéances convenues par la « scrum team ». Partager vos connaissances et vos idées d’améliorations.

Votre profil:

Bac+5 avec une spécialisation en informatique ou télécom. Vous disposez d’au moins 5 ans d’expérience dans la validation logicielle. Vous avez une expérience dans la mise en place de tests automatisés. Vous avez défini des stratégies de tests. Vous disposez d’une expérience dans l’utilisation d’un système de suivi d’anomalies. Une expérience du travail en équipe « Agile/Scrum » serait un plus. Vous parlez anglais. Vous êtes organisé(e) et rigoureux(se). Vous êtes créatif(ve), curieux(se) et ambitieux(se). Mais surtout, vous êtes souriant(e) et motivé(e).
