Sr. Product Manager

JOB SUMMARY:

We are looking for a talented Product Manager for our cosmetic business unit in Europe Middle East Africa. You will manage the new product development (NPD) from the ideation step to the launch on the market. You will also manage Sensient current range of products. You will prepare the platform reviews of our product range with the sales team, the R&D, the regulatory, marketing and application teams to understand the market and to preparation of the new product’s value proposition.  

The goal is to reach out to the market with innovative ingredients and to cultivate the customer’s interest in our products and services in ways that strengthen our reputation and facilitate our continuous growth. You will report to the marketing Director.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

New Products

Responsible of NPD project management of a range of non colored ingredients including actives, solubilizers, color protection for all cosmetic applications with a focus on skin care, personal care and fragrances
Responsible of new product launches by ensuring completion of products’ launch package (documentation, coding, samples, price…)
Prepare the sales pitch and the value propositions
Understand the market segmentation and the customers’ needs.
Monthly reporting on the performance of the NPD of the 5 last years.

SKILLS & ABILITIES:

Proven experience in product management
Knowledge of cosmetic ingredients.
Excellent communication and people skills
Strong organizational and time-management abilities
Creativity and commercial awareness

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

Chemistry Engineer school / PhD or equivalent education in technical area
Excellent writing skills in English
Fluent in English and French
At least 5 years of product management preferably within manufacturing companies.
Understanding of manufacturing for consumer packaged goods companies.
Good understanding of cosmetic market environment in EMEA (regulation, competition, market needs and requirements)
