Symphony is seeking a product manager to join their Platform team and help make Symphony a leading workflow platform. The ideal candidate has extensive experience as a product manager, particularly in platform/API and enterprise application development.
The Product Management team works closely with our engineers to guide products from conception to launch using data, research and empathy to drive the direction. As part of the Product Management team, you bridge the technical and business worlds as you design services that our customers love.
In this role, you will contribute to the mission of delivering the platform for Symphony developers to build innovative enterprise communication solutions.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Develop symphony's platform strategy, and our engagement strategy with the developer ecosystem
Work closely with several cross-functional teams, including symphony market solutions, platform solutions, partnership, technical account management, product, research & data, and our API specialist team to understand user needs into priorities, roadmaps and specifications
Understand markets, competition and developer/customer requirements in depth.
Identify market opportunities, user needs, build business cases, and define product vision and strategy for Symphony's platform/APIs
Help the team execute toward the goals and clearly communicate the plans internally and externally with partners and customers
Define your features. Write specs and user stories, prototypes. Socialize functionality across the organization and incorporate feedback
Collaborate with engineering teams and leadership to ship new, powerful, resilient and high-quality features by managing the backlog of features, your team's' development activity, building technical requirements and tracking in-progress projects
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
4 or more years of experience in a product management, engineering and technology strategy role (at least 3+ years building platform products in B2B world, including delivery of a product)
Background/education in Computer Science
Subject matter expert on REST APIs, workflow applications, end user bots and enterprise tooling
Great track record of working with engineering and design teams so that people will always want to have you in their teams
Experience in productizing – building SDKs as a product
Passion about enterprise communication and Symphony's vision to become the platform that powers work
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Ability to talk shop with engineers or similar experience as a software engineer
