Context around the job:

This job position sits within the Martell global brand team part of MMPJ (Martell Mumm Perrier Jouet), our global luxury spirits division.

This is a very exciting opportunity to join Martell, a category leader in Prestige Cognac. Equally, the brand is benefiting from strong momentum: in China it is the number 1 imported spirit, and it is quickly growing across two of its key strategic markets- USA and Nigeria- with consistent double digit growth. This positive momentum has led the brand to be awarded a hot impact award in the US.

The recent campaign launched globally has been highly successful, #2 Ranking Ad in

Kantar Global Creative Effectiveness Awards through its consumer centric approach. Moving forward we have very ambitious growth plans on Martell with a strong focus on recruitment of a new audience.

The role of the “Global Creative Content Senior Brand Manager” will work on the development of large institutional campaigns with top tier talents as well as the development of always-on content that meet Global & Local strategy, working in close collaboration with the local markets, Consumer Insights, Digital & Engagement teams, Style team and Agencies.

Key Responsibilities of The Global Creative Content Senior Brand Manager:

You will be responsible for working directly with our lead markets and the global team to ensure we bring to life the Martell brand positioning. You will work closely with key markets to create compelling content and communications at the heart of the cultural conversation, with a strong focus on digital and social engagement.

There will be 3 main areas of responsibility

Strategic planning

Anticipating consumer trends and utilising knowledge of the consumer to generate a strong year-round plan, for the right content across the right platforms 
Identify insights, area’s of opportunity- people, platforms, partnerships- and relevant conversations for the brand to be part of across its core market focus to drive strong impact, engagement & relevancy for the brand, as well as increasing share of  conversation online.
Support on any elements on working with insights to keep hand on the pulse of culture and what is happening in the world of GenZ to create insights
Support in the development of purpose-led communication platform for the brand, to further drive the core brand purpose and bring it to life in a tangible way through communication

Production of content

Produce strategic brand assets, institutional, storytelling campaigns and digital appropriate content
Lead content production from brief to final output, ensuring a coherent creative strategy and impactful content storytelling working with agencies and production houses

Coordinate with drive markets and internal / external stakeholders to deploy brand assets with consistency
Manage the global assets usage rights and renewal
Responsible for managing the project related budget
Responsible for leading the legal and contractual parts of the project, with internal and external legal teams


Review media & amplification plan with local markets to ensure impact
Work collaboratively with digital team to ensure relevant content for digital channels
Work with insights team on post-test research of campaign and recommend optimisations if / when required.

Who you will be working with:

Internally, you’ll work with Local brand marketing teams, Creative Content Managers, Legal and Finance, Creative Studio

Externally, your contacts will be creative partners, production companies and talent managers

This position could be right for you if you:

5-7+years experience in spirits, drinks, luxury or any other lifestyle brand

Are consumer-centric, have understanding of how modern luxury & youth culture works, proactively assess brand needs, transforming understanding of consumer insights into actionable strategy & content

Are attuned to GenZ related culture, regularly keep your finger on the pulse of what is going on in the world of GenZ, can extract insights & trends to inform future creative development through strong strategic thinking
Have an eye for luxury strong sense of style & aesthetics

Have a passion for content development- strong expertise and full knowledge of the process from conception to production (3+ years content development experience)

Are an inclusive decision maker – managing upwards, sharing information and working collaboratively

Are a hands-on project manager with strong analytical skills, the ability and experience working with an array of data types – sales, financial, social, search, survey, digital analytics platforms and confidence writing and presenting to internal and external audiences with the ability to bring the audience with you
Are a self-starter and have strong drive & passion.
