Key responsabilities

Job area & mission:

Within the framework of the R & I strategy and its defined roadmap, the Biostatistics and scientific data solutions group develops novel data science tools and approaches whilst training and monitoring research teams in becoming autonomous in standard statistical analyses. In this group, the Data Scientist implements the data science strategy, including but not limiting to data management, machine learning, artificial intelligence and data visualization.

Main responsibilities :

Transform Data in insights to help R&I Nutrition and Animal Health to take decision on factual observations and optimize services to leverage value creation for the company.

Tasks:

Propose a pertinent strategy of analysis, adapted to the use cases with a strong added value Identify and preparer the data needed to the analysis in collaboration with the Data Engineer Develop and/or implement relevant machine learning and AI Conduct and maintain the implemented analyses Be a technical referent on ML and AI libraries framework Referent for designing, building, improving, profiling and maintaining our in-house algorithms including versioning, documentation, tests Support IT on industrialization issues: integration, pre prod, prod, run Participate in the construction of the different use cases in collaboration with stakeholders and technical conception by bringing your personal expertise, creativity and effectively Realization of prototype including ML /AI and shared to internal end user or costumers Implementation of self-services on technological platform Manage the deliverable planning of use cases Propose best practice in programming, code review, be a referent as coder Participation at Data Science acculturation session Contribute to put in place a data science community and to improve Data science skills Collaborate with DSI to manage, maintain, improve tools and technical platform Participate in the development of big data platform

External collaborations and networks

Contributes to the design and exploitation of scientific data of key accounts Designs and monitors the Data Science outsourcing with partner Develops and maintains a network of academic and private partner organisation recognized in the field Ensures the scientific intelligence on his / her subjects Valorises and presents novel scientific approaches at relevant congresses or in relevant journals

Main Skills

Profile:

At least 5 years of practical experience in applying Data Science (IOT / Cloud) in a life science environment such as agriculture, animal nutrition, biology / Omics, experience in several fields is an asset

Education & Hard Skills

Grandes Ecoles, MSc, Engineer in Data Science, Big Data, Computational Science or a related field, Languages: R, Python, SAS, Sql, Java Experience with high-dimensional data in Cloud (such as SnowFlake, SAP HANA) Experience in Big data platform and libraries: Hadoop, Spark, Keras, Tensorflow, Scikit learn, Pandas, Numphy, Yolo, … Experience in Data platforms tools: Talend, Dataiku, Alteryx, … Strong experience in modeling, supervised and non-supervised analytics, graph (Neo4j), Bayesian network and neuronal networks, … Experience in deep learning for vision computing Skills in streaming/signal data analysis Experimented in data viz: Power BI, RShiny
