At Echo Analytics, we work with companies from all over the world. We create, combine, and convert thousands of public and private datasets into meaningful geospatial insights and provide the most accurate commercial Point of Interest (POI) product and mobility insights available in Europe.

What do we do?

We provide companies with fuel to power their products with high-quality geospatial-based datasets. We use data science, machine learning, and human feedback to build the most comprehensive geospatial datasets and insights available in Europe and rapidly expanding.

Echo partners with companies from multiple industries such as retail, mobility, smart-cities, real-estate, advertising, market-research, financial services.

Who are we looking for?

We are looking for a Data Science Intern who is keen to discover and implement new algorithms to help us scale our products.

To be successful as a Data Science Intern, you should have prior knowledge of data analysis and statistical modelling, be able to collaborate with team members, be a strategic problem-solver and an inspiring big data visionary.

The opportunity

As a Data Science Intern, you’ll be joining the R&D team.This is a unique opportunity to join, build and grow a successful start-up leading its market, from the early stages.

You’ll be able to work on different types of data (geospatial data, trajectory data…) and use a large variety of techniques ( Machine Learning, Regression, Time Series…)

Your Role at Echo

As a Data Science Intern, you will work closely with our team of experienced data scientists to gain practical experience in the field of data analysis, statistical modelling, machine learning. This internship will provide you with valuable hands-on experience in applying data science techniques to business challenges.

For this opportunity, we look for an intern that is enthusiastic in playing with spatio-temporal datasets. You will have the opportunity to work on large datasets from real-world , contributing to the development and deployment of data-driven solutions.

What we’re looking for:

Education:
Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering or a related field
Technical skills:
Good computer science fundamentals and programming (Python)
Comfortable with SQL
Comfortable working with the Google Cloud Platform stack or another cloud environment
Good knowledge of statistics, optimization and machine learning approaches
Demonstrated ability in executing challenging R&D projects
Preferred Qualifications:
6 month internship preferred
Experience with solving optimization problems
Experience with spatial-temporal datasets
Examples of work such as research papers, blog posts, Kaggle etc.
