ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

Manage the team of biostatisticians, plan their projects and assess prioritiesData analysis and interpretation (proteomics, RNA seq…)Train and validate ML models for predictive classificationReview and develop statistical methods proposed by the team, provide feedbackInput to the whole process of clinical trials: study preparation, protocol, study conduct, statistical analyses and reportingEstablish a biomarker qualification strategy and its validation in clinical biomarker studies for the translation, performance testing and eventual regulatory qualification of safety biomarkers for drug-induced organ injuries.Provide statistics-based evaluations and evidences via integrative data analysis of each study.Planning and implementation of statistical analysis for clinical study reportsPerform or/and supervise the programming of tables, listings, figures, derived datasets and statistical analyses using Python or R (or other Stat. software) and according to agreed timelines and quality standards.Prepare key portions of integrated clinical/statistical reports and reviews computer generated tables for verification of compliance and accuracy.Support the built-up of a computational infrastructure that provides easy and rapid access to proprietary and public data, information and knowledge related to the biomarker qualification processImplement systems biology methods by modeling of metabolic and signaling pathways perturbed under disease conditions in order to identify biomarkerImplement a computational platform for the integrative analysis of data obtained from transcriptomic, proteomic, metabolomics and molecular imaging dataImplement a biomarker validation strategy that automatically calculates the predictive performance of individual biomarkers as well as models comprising combinations of individual biomarkersOptimize biomarker models taking availability and performance of biomarker assays into accountApply or supervise statistical data analyses according to the state of the art

EXPERICENCE, FORMATION AND MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

PhD in biostatistics, statistics, or related discipline3-5 years of experience in biostatistics and programmingStrong statistical methodology knowledge and implementationProven experience in programming in Python or in R, other languages a plusFluent in EnglishAbility to work in a team and to communicate with multidisciplinary teams
