As a Medior/Senior Data Scientist at ORTEC you play an important role in continuously delivering and expanding this impact. You will put your creativity and A.I. expertise to value and together with your enthusiastic colleagues, you will come up with working data science solutions for our customer’s business challenges.

To further develop our Global Analytics Solutions team, we are looking to on-board a Medior/Senior Data Scientist at our Data Driven Logistics department. We are experienced in areas such as: Asset Analytics, Resource & Demand Forecasting, Predictive Maintenance and Supply Chain Optimization, in markets like Energy, Manufacturing, Post, Retail & Logistics.

Who you are

You have a Master’s Degree in Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, Computer Science, Information Science or other relevant studies
You have at least 3 years of working experience in a similar role where you gained strong analytical skills and up-to-date knowledge of Machine Learning and AI
You are currently living in France and are able to fluently communicate in English (verbally and in writing).
You combine an understanding of business challenges with strong modelling skills. This allows you to translate our customer’s real opportunities into tangible quantitative models that can suggest usable predictions and decisions improving our customer’s business.
You have a vision on how to make data science work and you are able to communicate this in a simple, clear and convincing way
You are proficient in at least one of the following programming languages: Python, R or Scala
Your SQL knowledge goes beyond SELECT * FROM
It’s a plus if you have experience with a cloud platform (Azure, AWS or Google Cloud)
You are proficient in at least one visualization tool (Spotfire, PowerBI, Tableau,…)
Ability to provide on-the-job coaching to our juniors
Ability to work in a team, and at the location of the customer
Detail oriented, pragmatic, flexible, strong communicator, and a self-starter
