Rakuten Advertising is now looking for a new Associate Data Scientist to join our group. As such, you will be part of a diverse, flexible, and collaborative environment where you will develop new Machine Learning algorithms for acquiring audiences and maximising both advertisers’ and publisher’ revenue in the Ad Tech ecosystem.
A leader in Affiliate marketing and Display advertising, Rakuten Advertising is collecting massive volumes of information on a daily basis. This complexity calls for technologies that can efficiently analyse large sets of data and determine the statistical models that could most accurately predict the performance of online marketing campaigns.
As an Associate Data Scientist, you will work on sophisticated algorithms involving either advanced Machine Learning or Deep Learning and use these technologies at high-scale in production.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Develop, evaluate, deploy and monitor algorithms with a strong business impact.
Keep up to date with latest research within Machine Learning.
Drive projects and proactively interact with Product Managers, Data Analysts and Software Engineers to ensure successful work.
Experiment strategies including AB-test design and analysis.
Maintain a high-quality code stack and documentation.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS (Knowledge, Skills, Abilities)

Interest in e-commerce and new technologies.
Experience in using Machine Learning methods and in statistical computing and modelling.
Experience with a statistical tool adapted to big data analysis and Machine Learning, such as Python or R.
Strong mathematical skills.
Knowledge of SQL or Java and Computer Science skills are a plus.
Experience with one or several Machine Learning frameworks (such as Scikit-learn).
Familiarity with at least one Deep Learning framework (PyTorch, Tensorflow, etc.) is a plus.
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
Graduated from a Scientific or Engineering School, a Master's program or a PhD in Machine Learning, Statistics, Mathematics or Applied Mathematics.
Very good English skills (working language at Rakuten Advertising)
