The Artificial Intelligence Hub is looking for talents to contribute to the design, development and deployment of Simulation Based Applications to support the development and deployment of Artificial Intelligence within Schneider Electric product and service offers.

These applications relate to:

explorations, proofs of concept, market studies on new business/offer; validation platforms for solutions; design & sizing tools; digital twins for performance follow-up, fault detection and diagnostic; generating data for training of AI components; operator training and assistance; simulation based control.

We are looking for a Data Scientist skilled in simulation to work on on the development of applications involving simulation (i.e microgrids, electric vehicles...)

Missions include:

brainstorming with LoB (lines of business) representatives on Simulation based application related to Artificial Intelligence use cases; specification, design, implementation, test, validation, and industrialization of simulation based application to be incorporated and deployed in products, systems and solutions; contributions to state-of-the-art monitoring (literature and patent review, trend analysis, startup evaluation), technological watch and experimentation of new technologies, tools and processes, to improve products and services as well as development practices within the company; contributions to the identification and evaluation of potential external partners; knowledge sharing, teaching and coaching within the Analytics and Artificial Intelligence team and beyond; contributions to intellectual property protection, capitalization of knowledge, and internal and external communication on Artificial Intelligence applications.

Qualifications

Master or PhD or equivalent diploma in Artificial Intelligence. 2 or 3 years of experience in Simulation based application development, including a mix of experience with different types of technology: generic simulation environment (Matlab, Modelica…), control simulation including advanced optimization-based solution, co-simulation (FMU/FMI standard), data models, coupling with API to collect required data, development of interactive and inspiring graphical display of results. Software engineering experience: capacity to address complex software architecture including coding, debugging, testing (unit tests, functional tests, and integration tests) and troubleshooting throughout the application development process and in agile mode. Ideally, some knowledge of Energy Management and/or Automation markets., Matlab/Simulink, Python, version control. High motivation towards solving problems, achieving results, and applying technology to real-life business cases. Effective communication skills including data-driven story telling: convincing with words, impacting with data, and influencing with visuals. Autonomy AND capacity to cooperate. Openness of mind AND scientific rigor. Fluent English.
