Scope / Purpose of the Role:
Responsible for the marketing and communications function at Walden. To cover creation and implementation of all elements of strategy and operational planning that enhances our brand and assists Walden in achieving its company objectives.
To plan, develop, implement and measure Walden's business lines marketing, communications and public relations activities, both external and internal, delivering measurable projects and campaigns on time, within budget and to a consistently high quality. All activity to have a measured output that can be reported on.
Key Skills and Experience:
Essential:
- Educated to degree level in English, media studies, marketing, communications studies
- Journalism or an equivalent specialism
- Strong B2B marketing experience, ideally within a matrix enviornment
- Proven success in writing professional web and marketing copy, with the ability to produce compelling and optimised copy while maintaining brand messaging,
persuasiveness andreadability
- Proven listening, negotiating and influencing skills
- Creative thinker with proven campaign experience
- Excellent communications skills, with a solid knowledge of English grammar and the ability to present ideas in a clear and concise way, both verbally and in writing
- Analytical, with the ability to interpret information, news, data and research quickly ¡V and distil the most important/relevant information to inform unique and innovative
new content and creation ideas
- Good working knowledge of major social media channels
- Strong project management skills
- Proactive and highly organised, with strong time management and planning skills, meticulous attention to detail and a proven ability to multi-task
- Proven ability to meet tight deadlines and remain calm under pressure
- Having some experience of communication crisis
Desirable:
- Previous experience in similar role in FMCG or Healthcare/Pharmacueticals
- European languages is an advantage (i.e French)
