Job Description


As a key member of the global brand & portfolio team, the role contributes to the development and delivery of stationery category vision agenda. In partnership with R&D, GSC, Group HQ Sales team and regional marketing teams, the Global Marketing & Innovation Manager is responsible to translate consumer and market insights into global brand development plans, to identify and build relevant and scalable innovation programs across the globe and to support regional teams in their plans implementation.

Key expectations for this role will be :

Clearly identify global category business performance, challenges and opportunities to fuel Category Long term strategy plans with relevant and scalable business insights.Be the voice of the consumer of the category, ensuring a deep understanding of its trends and needs to fuel Long term strategy with relevant and scalable consumer insights.Build category global brand & portfolio strategy accordingly.Translate global insights into innovation ideas, build and manage corresponding programs, effectively lead cross functional dedicated teams to ensure OTIF launch.In the context of marketing innovation programs, be the voice of the consumer and business side, being accountable for both business case building and marketing mix development.Follow up on existing product portfolio performance, build up and implement according improvement plans when needed.Act as the category representative for any regional business, R&D, safety, quality or supply chain topics related to the segment dynamics, actively support any related initiative.Contribute to the Stationery strategy building together with the rest of B&P team.

ON TOP RESPONSABILITY :

Support a specific regional marketing team (to be defined) in their stationery strategy building and implementation.Be the voice of this region with other B&P team members and extended cross-functional teams.
Qualifications
Embraces BIC values and Core Competencies and embodies these attributes as part of the Global Insight and Innovation community.Minimum 7-year successful experience within Marketing / Commercial / Category Management / Business Development, with significant exposure to several markets.Minimum 2-year experience in cross-functional project management is a plusAble to set out a clear vision of the future of the category and the brandStrong listening skills, to collect both formal data (panels, research, sell-in, P&Ls) and informal data (collective knowledge of BIC organization across countries).Highly analytical. Able to triangulate data, to make sense of global countries and channel complexity, and to spot priority growth opportunities and projects.Highly articulate, able to synthesize information in strongly convincing messages, both verbally and in a written form. Has strong financial acumen to determine ROI of projects even with incomplete data.Strong interpersonal, communication and influencing skills. Ability to ‘sell’ your analyses and projects vision at all levels within the organization.A good manager, able to inspire both your direct team and the regional marketing teamsAbility to be strategic and operationalHighly pragmatic and results-oriented. Operational mindset, decisive in tackling issues, flexible to adapt to quickly changing environments.High energy and resilienceFluent business English. Command of more languages is a plus (French/ Spanish).
