•          February 2017: Acquisition of key Sanofi Consumer Healthcare products


Looking ahead, our ambition is to develop a valuable and sustainable portfolio delivering at least one new molecular entity or meaningful indication/registration every year. To achieve this ambition, we will implement R&D transformation with a focus on innovative and differentiated assets and bolster external sourcing model/ business development to expand our innovative Specialty Care pipeline.


The role



Support Executive Leadership Team / Senior Management in decision-making and arbitration related to the overall strategy of the Group
Support Group transformation by bringing a cross-functional and independent view
Lead/support strategic & transformation projects either as project managers or as contributors
Orchestrate the Group’s long-term strategic plans across Group divisions and functions
Produce strategic analysis/benchmarks on a broad range of metrics and KPIs
Role model the cultural transformation of IPSEN into a leading global Biotech focused on innovation and specialty care

Main responsibilities and tasks




Support strategic projects
Contribute to functional / business line strategic projects (e.g. on a product/therapeutic area, on a geography, on a value chain area…)
Support the execution of strategic projects by acting as PMOs
Monitor the delivery of third party contractors in a timely and cost-effective manner



Support group transformation projects:
Contribute to Group transformation projects (e.g. R&D transformation, due diligence excellence, cultural transformation…)  
Support the execution of transformation projects by acting as PMOs
Participate actively to the alignment of internal stakeholders



Contribute to the planning sequence:
Contribute to the orchestration of the 10Y group planning sequence (approach, deliverables, modelling, risk escalation) 
Be responsible for the coordination with Finance on 5Y group planning sequence
Conduct analysis on 5 and 10-year group plans (P&L analysis, financial indicators, sensitivities, upsides / downsides…)



Team members are exposed on a regular basis to EVPs/SVPs levels. Though benefiting from the support of the Directors and VPs, GST Managers need to be capable of interacting autonomously at that level. Also, managers need to be capable of engaging with Project Leaders from third party contractors, in particular from Strategy & Management Consulting firms


Requirements


Experience/educational background



Business school and/or PhD and/or PharmD and/or MD Minimum of 2-4 years of previous work experience in life sciences and/or strategy consulting
Ideal: Consulting and knowledge of healthcare environment

Skills & Attributes



Fluent in English
Leadership skills required to influence outcomes, communicate with all levels of the organization, and facilitate development of solutions to address critical business needs
Interpersonal and facilitation skills necessary to drive alignment
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
