The Product Marketing Manager reports directly to the Product Marketing Director and works cross functionally within the CIJ SPI Product Division to manage new and existing products.

He/She is responsible for part of Markem-Imaje’s CIJ products offer and develops a product marketing plan that drives interest and generates demand for new customers and current clients aligned with overall growth and revenue goals of the company.


Principal Activities & Responsibilities:


Collects and proactively shares market insights including competition watch, market trends, and key business drivers. Gathers customers, distributors and OEM requirements to define future product development. Monitor forecast and track the sales performance (units, revenue, average sales price, gross margin) to achieve AOP. Provides product leadership all along the Product Life Cycle from introduction through end-of-life. It includes Portfolio rationalization, pricing positioning, product customizations and modifications, Business Opportunities… Briefs Sales teams on new product features, positioning, and any feature gaps/availability, and drive product trainings in partnership with Product trainers. Drives the development and update of inbound and outbound marketing tools. Acts as liaison between the market and the project team (R&D, Supply Chain, Product training, Product Communication,…) for business needs and market feature requirements. Develops highly effective working relationships with Markem-Imaje customers, sales field and partners. Provides pre sales support helping to address technical requests/questions, as required. Makes pricing and forecasting recommendations to management and cross-functional teams.


Education and Experience Required:


MS/MA/MBA preferred 5+ years of experience in product marketing and/or project management, preferably in a B2B international environment. Ideally a previous experience within a company with a strong services offer (pre sales, after sales). Solid understanding of and experience in marketing industrial products as well as strong business management capabilities including the ability to uncover consumer insights that help inform business decisions. Demonstrated leadership skills to federate other functions such as communication, training, category management, field marketing and the ability to work and contribute in a matrix environment. Ability to communicate effectively in both French & English. Travels (<15%) including extended international travels up to 3-4 times per year.
