Autodesk is seeking an Industry Strategy Manager for Transportation who will serve as a key member of Autodesk's Infrastructure Business Strategy and Marketing team. The Industry Strategy Manager for Transportation has responsibility for developing and driving new opportunities and initiatives with a focus in Rail; but also, Roads and Highways and Bridges in Europe. Candidate must be a leader in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial, cross-functional, and global business environment. The candidate will use their industry, business, and analytical expertise to support Go-To-Market strategies in the European transportation design market. Candidate will partner and influence multiple senior stakeholders across the company, including Product Development, Sales, and Marketing to determine the most effective strategies and activities to drive awareness, preference, and demand for Autodesk’s transportation solutions in focus Europe markets.
The candidate must be enthusiastic, self-motivated, and an excellent communicator.
Key Responsibilities
Business and Strategy planning
Supports Transportation strategy development,
Prioritizing target segments and countries to achieve business growth goals,
Identifying new business and technology opportunities,
Gathering local requirements to influence product roadmaps, and ensure Autodesk can compete in priority countries,
Collecting and analyzing competitive market activity and dynamics,
Developing industry partnerships in collaboration with Business Development team,
Industry leadership
Develop and communicate inspirational, credible, and differentiated story for Transportation in Europe to be shared with customers, industry analysts, partners, and the internal Autodesk community,
Present at customer executive briefings and key industry forums Autodesk’s BIM or Infrastructure vision and strategy,
Represent Autodesk in key infrastructure technical working groups such as buildingSMART, MINnD etc.
Internal Collaboration
Collaborate with Autodesk Sales, Marketing, Finance and Operations teams on GTM execution,
Develop strong relationships with Autodesk Product Development teams to influence product requirements and prioritization to meet the needs of European design customers,
Serve as key point of contact for Product and Sales teams, throughout strategic planning and Go-To-Market planning and execution.
Requirements/Skills:
Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering. MBA preferred,
Extensive engineering design and/or project management experience on large transportation projects, preferably rail in Europe,
Good level of experience in cross-functional leadership in business and strategy roles preferred,
Strong awareness of competitive product landscape in transportation design in Europe,
Exceptional leadership skills, experience in defining a market vision and influence in large, complex and global organizations,
Outstanding interpersonal and communications skills, ability to present to large groups including external stakeholders,
Ability to successfully function in a matrixed organization; ability to influence, coordinate and drive decisions to closure,
Manage multiple projects concurrently, thrives in a dynamic environment where requirements shift to meet changing business needs,
Excellent written and verbal communication skills and proven ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical audience,
Native French speaker,
Ability to travel approximately 40%.
