Sales Community Manager


Context and Purpose of the position:


Pernod Ricard launched a group Sales & Digital Transformation to take a big step for the future, to lead value growth, put customers and consumers at the heart of everything it does and deliver memorable Conviviality experiences. Over the next 3 to 5 years, as part of the Group Sales Transformation roadmap, Pernod Ricard will profoundly transform its go to market model and the way to engage with customers through digital and data.
Besides upweighting our data and tech resources, tools and systems, we are focusing on the human side of the transformation – adequate communication and change management - to ensure data and tech are empowering sales teams, through constant upskilling on the job and best practice sharing.
The Sales function of Pernod Ricard represents 6000+ internal and external Sales professionals, more than 1/3 of the Group human capital, backed by customer sales teams, many of them dedicated to the PR portfolio.
In this context, Pernod Ricard is recruiting a Community Manager – Digital Sales Transformation, to support the Change and Mindset Director in the pilot and set up phase of STAR VOICE – the communication ecosystem of the Sales community. This position will have the ambition to animate, excite and empower diverse and decentralized communities, stimulate collaborative ways of working to bring value efficiently and effectively to customers and consumers.



Main tasks and responsibilities:


Storytelling, partnering, structuring
Know how to create and animate several editorial plans in parallel, anticipate well in advance the content creation and planning and do so independently
Know how to impactfully pitch and story tell Star Voice and Star Lab – the communication ecosystem for the Sales community and constantly contribute to its improvement
Constantly map the organization and identify allies and key stakeholders that could accelerate the adoption of Star Voice / Star Lab ecosystem
Connect members of different communities between each other, create bridges, organize touch points and facilitate conversation and collective knowledge exchange
Maintain a partnership relationship with other existing PR communities, to cross-fertilize. Align Sales community content and planning with other Pernod Ricard strategic initiatives and communities: Global Business Development, HR, IT, Communications team, Finance…

Structuring, Co-creation, passion for communication
Structure and implement internal communication activities on the change management approach
Be able to engage a conversation with the community, i.e., co-create with the community rather than just roll out an editorial plan built autonomously: help define the purpose of the community, what are the interests of the members, what are the convenient formats and frequency of interactions – let the community decide and contribute
Vary the format of interactions:
- meetings: top-down presentations, participative discussions, round tables, mini workshops of co-creation, physical meetings…
- communication: individual and collective (Teams channel, newsletter…)
Create authentic and convivial relationships with the communities
Speak several languages: French and English are a must, a third one - a big plus
Be ready to organize a physical event when possible!

Content Management
Lead the content creation, either autonomously or by liaising with external agencies
Make sure that resources are always available for relevant stakeholders, uploaded on collective folders and organized in a structured way
Identify and evaluate risks/obstacles independently. Determine and drive appropriate corrective actions.
Align with other communication streams, functions and communities to ensure consistent and relevant info flow to affiliates and customers and maximise touchpoints – internal media/My Portal, webinars, regional meetings

Profile Requirements



Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, able to build and maintain effective working relationships
Ability to influence senior audiences and operational teams
Inquisitive mind, openness to new ways of working, getting inspiration by benchmarking to leading industries to enrich Pernod Ricard approach
Well organized, able to independently plan, align, execute the community management plan with attention to quality and impact.
Digital literacy
Fluency in English and French, more languages are a plus
3-5 years in relevant role managing an international community or designing communication plans and content.
Experience in the Consumer Goods/Luxury industry is a plus
Experience in Sales or Trade Marketing would be a plus
