The European Head of Investment Advisory Compliance is seeking a professional with a background in compliance and digital solutions to join our team. We are part of a global team that provides compliance advice and conducts monitoring on all subjects related to the investment and trading processes (except guideline monitoring). You will have the opportunity to work with and learn from senior compliance colleagues and make an impact in helping our team develop and execute a best-in-class compliance program that uses information technology to its fullest.
The Business Analyst's responsibilities will include:
Carrying out compliance monitoring, analyzing outliers, and following up with portfolio managers and traders on such topics as best execution, market abuse, allocations, pricing, conficts of interest for all liquid asset classes (equities, fixed income, fx, derivatives).
Working closely with the European and Global Head and other team members to identify, design, develop and/or coordinate the implementation of IT/AI/ML solutions to address our needs including, but not limited to: a) further integrate automation and machine learning into our compliance monitoring, b) manage and track advisory requests, monitoring status, and project participation and progress, c) manage incidents detected in our monitoring and develop/analyze relevant KPIs, d) create a dynamic and more automated compliance risk database, e) automate management reporting.
Supporting the management of internal and external IT solutions and data vendors, including overseeing and following up on issues and change requests, new version roll outs, contract and invoice management, and reviewing/onboarding new vendors.
Supporting data collection and/or development of data mining solutions to respond to inquiries and audits by internal and external auditors, depositories/trustees/clients, and regulators.
Supporting the technology and data impact assessments of new business, new regulations, or other Company initiatives and proposing and following through on solutions.
Supporting the creation and presentation of management reporting on compliance matters.
Fluent in French or German
Knowledge of MIFID and MAR and other European financial regulations
Experience in asset management
Experience with compliance market abuse monitoring systems and/or transaction cost analysis tools
Experience with project management
