Job DescriptionAt Eurofins, we are developing our eLIMS-NG project (Eurofins Laboratory Information Management System, the Next Generation), a comprehensive and integrated suite of tools and applications to support our testing business in our laboratories worldwide.We are looking for a Functional Analyst or a Business Analyst to join our eLIMS-CL-MB team responsible for our "Core Lab Microbiology" project that supports microbiology testing, covering configuration (tests, processes and environment), preparation, plating, incubation, reading, calculations, results validation, retests, media management and QC support. The microbiology process itself is defined centrally and advertised by a Project Engineering Group (PEG) managed by a microbiology expert.SPECIFIC ASSIGNMENTS - FUNCTIONAL ANALYST:Act as functional expert to ensure level 1 and 2 support during transition life cycle (deployment) and level 3 support during operational life cycle;Be able to analyze deeper cause of failures by reproducing it, analyzing data issues and comparing with existing process;Analyze functional processes and define detailed functional specifications;Model the requirements into user stories;Define tests associated to development phase;Follow-up on developments and ensure quality and compliance of what is delivered compared to business need;Write and maintain best practice documentation and train key users;Audit and review use of the new systems to ensure implementation of best practices processes.SPECIFIC ASSIGNMENTS - BUSINESS ANALYST:Act as a functional expert to collect, challenge and agree on business requirements;Translate business requirements into user requirements and give detailed judgement on business complexity to promote simplification;For business requirements that span multiple Eurofins applications, support the Project Manager to evaluate impact of requested change and break down business requirements into well-defined user requirements;Model the requirements into user stories;Follow-up on monitor technical implementation and developments;Write and maintain best practice documentation and train key users;Ensure level 1 and 2 support during transition life cycle (deployment) and level 3 support during operational life cycle;Audit and review use of the new systems to ensure implementation of best practices processes;Be responsible for the communication and cooperation between business and IT-departments;Develop working relationships within the wider Eurofins IT community and with selected Eurofins user groups.QualificationsBachelor or Master Degree in Science or similar;Strong understanding of IT systems;Experience in analyzing, describing and challenging processes and workflows;Familiarity with SQL queries;Knowledge of Service-Oriented-Architecture is highly desirable;Experience in agile development methods (Scrum) is a plus;Experience in User Interface Design is an asset;Understanding of and experience with UML and/or BPMN is an advantage;Strong critical thinking, time management and detail-orientated skills;Experience in laboratory automation and/or reporting technology is a plus;Fluent in English communication skills (written/oral).
