Against this background, Gilead Sciences France has an exciting opportunity for a Business Analytics Manager to join its Commercial Operation team to be based in its offices in Boulogne- Billancourt.
Specific Responsibilities:
The Business Analytics department is a key department in the French Gilead affiliate. Its main role is to provide support to the General Manager and the country leadership team to make decision on Business by providing analysis & recommendations through Analytic Insights, Market Research, Forecasts and Commercial Excellence.
Oncology Business Analytics manager will belong to a team of 4 Business Analytic managers and a Business Excellence team (5 persons) , he/she will report to the Business Analytics Director.
Your responsibility will be through your expertise to manage Analytics & insight for the Oncology Business Unit cross functional team with a business partner approach: management of the Forecasting, Market Research and Deep dive analysis of the market. you will have to provide the most relevant business recommendation according to the business needs & environment changes You will also be involved in the creation of the Business Plan of action as well as teams in the implementation of new global projects. You will be the point of contact between the French affiliate and the Global team ( US) and ensure a coordination role between the local team and the headquarter.
Specific Job Responsibilities – Forecasting
Projects demand for Gilead’s and competitors’ products within a new therapeutic area over the next years.
Advises senior-level internal customers (e.g. Marketing, Manufacturing, Finance…) on forecasting assumptions, inputs and outputs
Responsible for developing complex forecasting models and identifying the drivers of variance (actual sales vs forecasts ).
Be able to recognize and interpret business issues/opportunities and recommend scenario through analysis
Ability to assume responsibility for accuracy, reliability, and timeliness of deliverables.
Specific Job Responsibilities – Market research
Responsible for conducting primary & secondary market research studies
Provides deep dive analysis and recommendations to bring market knowledge and future market evolutions..
Designs dashboard reports and oversees analytics for Bu head and managers
Essential Duties and Job Functions
Presents recommendations and findings to various stakeholders within the Commercial organization.
Applies strategic thinking and communicates complex analytical processes in a clear and concise manner. Provides reliable and accurate analyses and reports to support decision making on key strategies
Independently leads projects and coordinates input from cross-functional teams of Commercial, Marketing, Analytics and external vendors.
Interacts with internal customers ranging from executives to Commercial management
Makes recommendations to improvements and ensures projects, process or tools changes meet the business initiatives of Commercial Operations.
Responsible for compiling and analyzing data on sales and trends to forecast future
Conducts market research studies and makes presentations on current market areas and future market conditions
Analyzes competitive environment sales records, market penetration, market potential and future trends and makes recommendations based on findings
Operates as an individual contributor with moderate supervision and guidance, as a key member of the Business Analytic team (best practice sharing , ensure process alignment..) and as a business partner for the franchise.
Knowledge, Experience & Skills:
Ability to integrate and collaborate with a team with different needs, experiences and seniorities.
Able to develop solutions to a wide range of moderately complex problems, which require the regular use of ingenuity and innovation
Strong interpersonal skills with ability to lead, interact with, focus, resolve conflict and drive consensus among individuals from a variety of cultures, and disciplines are required. Must have demonstrated communication skills with an ability to efficiently and productively communicate both orally and in writing.
Must possess good project/task management skills- planning, prioritization, objective setting, and meeting management and plan execution. Good organizational skills and the ability to meet tight deadlines in an environment of competing and changing priorities. Demonstrates strong analytical and problem-solving skills
5+ years of industry experience including 2+ years of relevant market research, strategic analysis and planning experience, and a BA/BS degree
Working experience with global Sales and Marketing organizations and with pharmaceutical data sources
Strong Experience on Forecasting/Market modeling
Experience conducting quantitative and qualitative primary and secondary market research
Working knowledge and experience in Oncology markets
Possesses proven data analysis and interpretation skills
Good interpersonal skills with ability to interact with individuals from a variety of departments
Must have demonstrated good communication skills with an ability to efficiently and productively communicate both orally and in writing
Must possess good self-management skills including planning, prioritization, objective setting, and meeting management and plan execution
Good organizational skills and the ability to meet tight deadlines in an environment of competing and changing priorities
