Job Profile:
Associate (GCB5)
Contribute actively to the management and development of identified relationships with a portfolio of Global Banking clients (CAC40/SBF 120 type)
Comprehensive understanding of clients’ organizations, businesses and needs
Proactively support the senior ADs and GRBs in all business aspects to achieve relationship developments
Develop business relationship with client counterparts
Manage risks (credit, reputational, compliance, sustainability transition) and oversight KYC processes, together with dedicated support teams
Principal Accountabilities:
Contribute to the generation of revenues / Proactively support senior coverage in all aspects of the client portfolio to achieve the revenue target
Actively collaborate with other teams across HSBC (both products lines and Multinationals teams) to ensure customer interests and HSBC behavioral values are used to build relationships with existing long-term customers which are key to GBM’s strategy. Proactive involvement in opportunities outside immediate team, specifically on GTB related subjects;
Contribute to client intensity and commercial enlarged footprint;
Present well developed, persuasive ideas;
Prepare client business reviews / presentations / brief notes to senior management / Client Planning
Control profitability data and metrics
Maintain up to date credit facilities and Credit review overdue. Review financial crime risk statements (as applicable) and raise concerns promptly using the Higher Risk Review Process (HRRP)
Monitor financial crime risk in collaboration with the Compliance Departments
Maintain a strong operational risk control culture
Qualifications
Background: BAC + 5 level, Master 2 Finance
Shown experience in similar position – good candidates are likely to have sound relationship management skills with a delivery-focused mindset
Strong business development and commercial mindset
Ability to develop relationship network both internally and within clients’ organizations
Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain global and regional relationships at all levels of the organisation
Sound level of financial analysis ability
