JCI is undergoing a massive business transformation programme. Many initiatives are technology enabled.
BA input is expected to review and define user journeys, business capabilities/requirements and processes with a strong steer for business process improvements/changes in order to fit in with industry best practices and stay within the boundaries out of the box product capabilities where applicable.
What you will do
Business Analysts support alignment of Business and IT objectives, identify opportunities for process advancement leveraging technology, support creation of business capability and technology projects, translate business capabilities into functional requirements, analyse any gap between As Is and To Be state and work with business stakeholders and IT Delivery teams to develop, test and deploy solutions.
Business and IT Alignment
Support alignment of strategic and tactical business objectives with corresponding IT objectives, partnered with business stakeholders and enterprise IT colleagues.
Support business risk management, regulatory compliance (ex: Sarbanes-Oxley), Information Security, and audit remediation activities.
Identify opportunities for process advancement leveraging technology.
Participate in ideation activities to create high-level process and technology roadmaps. Contribute into business case creation.
Solution Delivery
Participate in creation of IT Investment proposals, partnered with business stakeholders and IT Delivery colleagues.
Map business objectives and capability needs to specific business functions and processes.
Conduct discovery and document user stories, business requirements, functions, processes, and enabling technologies.
Map business process flows, including all critical data elements (e.g., supplier, input, process, output, customer).
Translate business capabilities and process designs into functional requirements and/or user stories and work with business stakeholders to review and secure sign-off/agreement on requirements/stories.
Work with business stakeholders and IT colleagues to develop, test, and deploy solutions that meet business capability needs and ensure successful achievement of scope, cost, schedule, quality, adoption, and value outcomes.
Provide expertise and input into solution testing scenarios and participate in User Acceptance Testing.
Participate in development of solution training material and execution of change management activities.
Business of IT
Maintain relevant data attributes of solutions in the Configuration Management Database (CMDB).
Support business continuity and disaster recovery efforts.
Support utilization of IT-internal governance processes.
How you will do it
In collaboration with IT BP provide inputs into business case,
Define use cases along with the necessary detail and align them with the project plan
Collaborate with business Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) if any change of processes, rules/procedures is required to fit into OFSC functional scope.
Support delivery team in analysing solution options or suggesting an alternative
Support preparing UAT scenarios
Analyses feedback from trials, tests and exceptions if any.
Supports business project lead in developing roll out plans and business change activities
What we look for
Required
Experienced Business Analyst with at least 2 years of proven IT Agile project delivery participation
JCI business knowledge is of great advantage
Good understanding of business process analysis and Business Change Management
Experience working with Developers or Business SMEs
Good analytical skills and interpersonal skills to interact with various business process representatives
Process design documentation experience using flow charts
Ability to articulate business process requirements to a development team (and vice versa: IT requirements to the business) in order to support the implementation
Sound knowledge of Project Management practices and principals
Good knowledge of data analysis and reporting
Great verbal and written communications skills. English language to a business proficiency level
Ability to travel within the UK and be ideally based in Manchester and Birmingham
Preferred
Agile or Scrum certification
Master’s Degree in IT
Experience in process optimization/ standardization in complex matrix international organisations
