Qualcomm’s XR team is seeking a data analyst to join a talented and innovative team developing the next generation of Augmented and Virtual reality (XR) technologies. We are looking for a data scientist that will help us discover the information hidden in vast amounts of images and data, and help us make smarter decisions to deliver even better products. Your primary focus will be in doing statistical analysis, and building high quality systems integrated with our products for Hand Tracking and other XR features. Our pioneering team is working on essential areas of augmented reality for mobile and future platforms.
At Qualcomm XR Labs Europe, we are creating the next generation of toolkits for XR devices that are optimized across hardware and software. In this role you can help creating a product based on 3D engines that other developers will use to create their XR experiences. Work with future XR devices ahead of their market introduction and help us “wow” the developer community.
Responsibilities
Build new analytics and reporting capabilities to support program evaluation and operations
Selecting features, building and optimizing classifiers
Enhancing data collection procedures
Processing, cleansing, and verifying the integrity of data used
With other developers in mind define, implement and test new features
Creating automated anomaly detection systems and constant tracking of its performance
Analyze quantitative data from experiments to draw insights on core research problems
Write reports documenting research findings
Skills/Experience:
Minimum Qualifications:
Master degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field.
3+ years’ experience with Programming Language such as C, C++, Python etc.
Excellent understanding of machine learning techniques and algorithms
Good understanding of deep learning techniques and algorithms
Excellence in common data science toolkits such as NumPy, Pandas
Great communication skills
Excellent programming skills
Data-oriented personality
Very good experience with CV
Experience with data visualization
Preferred Qualifications:
Worked previously on VR or AR projects
A passion for software development, writing optimized code and using cutting edge technologies.
Worked previously on VR or AR projects or have a solid background in game development
Experience with Cython, PyBind11 or Numba
Basic knowledge in modern web development
