Overall Objective
We are looking for an experienced finance professional for our EMEA accounting department.
By working closely with the French accounting manager, you will support him on the accounting activities for the French perimeter and ensure the compliance regarding the US GAAP and French GAAP rules.
You will also be involved in more global accounting projects and processes at an EMEA level.
WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING:
Support the French compliance topics (payroll accounting, tax, projects, etc...) and work closely with business partners (plant controller, OPEX controllers, legal and HR teams…)
Support monthly and quarterly closing activities and processes
Participate in the French financial statements and legal documentation preparation
Be the contact and support of the French subsidiaries’ accounting teams
Coordinate the business Sarbanes Oxley (SOX) controls and maintain the SOX matrix updated in accordance with process and business evolutions
Assist auditors for the external audit
Lead some punctual financial audits to ensure accounting compliance & accuracy over EMEA entities
Be part of EMEA projects to ensure harmonization between the different EMEA entities
WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU:
Skills/Abilities
Solid understanding of accounting principles and finance fundamentals, including US and French GAAPs
Advanced level of broad analytical skills
Problem solving and decision-making skills
Pro-active and able to work effectively within a multi-functional and cross-cultural team
Project management skills
Communication skills – demonstrate good presentation skills. Is proactive in building positive relationships among team members and other functions
Self-motivated, positive attitude and a team player
Education/Experience
Bachelor or master’s degree in finance/accountancy or equivalent
At least 3 years of previous experience, ideally in an international organization
Good Microsoft Office skills, especially Excel.
SAP would be a plus
Fluent in English and French. German is a plus.
