Role summary / purpose :

The Senior Business Analyst provides strategic business analysis services to the manufacturing organization. He/she will be the face of IT to the business function(s) that he/she is aligned to, and will be the change agent for the manufacturing organization. The focus of this position is to work closely with the manufacturing teams, to gain in-depth understanding of that group’s business strategy, processes, services, roadmap and the context in which the group operates within the overall SWTS business. This role will be key to addressing business challenges and to keep SWTS’s manufacturing capability ahead of the competition.

The Senior Business Analyst is responsible for reviewing assigned business processes from end-to-end to identify and address operational, financial and technological risks, and to identify opportunities to improve efficiency. Responsibilities include a full range of activities from leading small to larger and more complex projects related to cross-functional operational business functions.

The Senior Business Analyst will work with the Technology team within IT to define, confirm and align the appropriate technology solution to the defined business problems, and to make sure the technology chosen fits the overall IT architecture.

To deliver the chosen solution, the Senior Business Analyst will work with the IT Project Management and PMO teams to implement the agreed-upon solution within the agreed-upon resource/time/financial boundaries, with a focus on change management that such changes bring along.

Essential responsibilities :

Demonstrate up-to-date expertise in manufacturing-related Information Systems and apply this to the development, execution and improvement of action plans by providing advice and guidance to others in the application of systems, processes, and data, using industry best practices ;Support and align efforts to meet external customer and internal business needs, in line with business strategy ;Manage customer relationships and expectations by developing a communication process to keep stakeholders up-to-date on plans, results and strategy ;Stay current with customer needs and strategies; utilizing formal and informal written communication methods to communicate updates and findings; and facilitating project meetings and presentations to all types of diverse audiences (for example, senior management, Customers, technical staff) ;Stay current with the operational evolution in the manufacturing space, so cannot just talk about IT technology, but more importantly about manufacturing operational topics ;Stay up-to-date on IT technologies that can be relevant to manufacturing, so can provide the broadest possible technology insights and inputs to manufacturing teams, as well as to IT Technology teams ;Identify, create and facilitate process design changes by conducting business and systems process analysis and design at a complex level; focusing on quality improvement and data management; ensuring data is reliable and valid; developing process improvements or re-engineering and recommending elimination; integrating new systems and processes with existing ones; and partnering with internal and external customers to ensure systems provided meet the long-term business strategies ;Provide and support the implementation of business solutions by building relationships and partnerships with key stakeholders; identifying business needs; determining and carrying out necessary processes and practices; monitoring progress and results; recognizing and capitalizing on improvement opportunities; and adapting to competing demands, organizational changes and new responsibilities ;Assess business process and system inefficiencies. Identify improvement opportunities in the processes of the function(s) aligned to (proactive and reactive) ;Elicit and clearly document business and systems requirements ;Identify ways to increase adoption and customer satisfaction of systems in use ;Understand and negotiate needs and expectations of multiple stakeholders ;Serve as a liaison between Operations and IT to assist or gather business requirements needed for system modifications, enhancement and implementations ;Support system conversions, upgrades, enhancements.

To maintain and even extend this lead, SWTS is looking for a Senior Business Analyst, who will be the catalyst for Brilliant Manufacturing through information technology.

Qualifications/Requirements :

Required :

Bachelor’s or master’s Degree in a business or technology related discipline ;At least 10 years of technology leadership related experience in a Manufacturing or Engineering role ;10+ years of experience with SAP ERP platform, version ECC6 including Solution Manager and all key Supply Chain modules (PM, MM/PP, QM, PLM, EHS) ;Understanding of typical business KPI’s of a manufacturing organization, as well as general KPI’s used in the industry, fundamentals and analytical data that’s commonly used in the industry.

Desired :

Excellent written and spoken executive-level communication skills ;A proven ability to break-down complex information in an easy-to-understand format ;Experience leading business Integrations and Acquisitions with platform consolidation and operational standardization ;Good understanding of Inventory Management, Purchasing Areas, Release Strategy, Environmental Health & Safety, Discreet and Process Manufacturing, Shop Floor Automation, Pricing, Purchase Requisitions, Account Determination, Movement Types, Cross Module integration, Batch and RF Scanners, Batch Determination etc.A strong interest in, and understanding of processes and technology related to discrete manufacturing as well a process (chemicals) manufacturing ;Hands-on experience and proficiency with data analysis ;Change management – should have experience and/or formal training on change management (CAP or similar) ;Process analysis/design – Should have experience with principles of Lean, Six Sigma, MVP to be able to analyze and document complex issues in a data-driven way.
