Job Description
FUNCTION summary:
The eCommerce Manager D-Europe will be responsible for definition of the eCommerce strategy and its implementation within the defined perimeter of the European Union, the EFTA countries plus the UK.
This position will collaborate on the strategy closely with the BEIM leader on eCommerce, with the territory director and with the country managers of D-Europe and on its implementation with the key account managers in the D-Europe team in developing, assisting, and carrying out key account plans, communications, site operations, online marketing, merchandise assortment, promotions, and overall brand maintenance. The eCommerce Manager will work closely with internal teams including marketing, business intelligence, pricing manager, business channel managers, and other areas of the company to convey a consistent brand image across all platforms.
The eCommerce Manager D-Europe will provide day-to-day management of related key accounts managers, report on eCommerce metrics, and collaborate on strategic leadership and guidance of eCommerce strategies in conjunction with senior advisors. The eCommerce Manager will have full P&L responsibility for the e-commerce customers. The eCommerce Manager shall take the lead on selected international key accounts, as for example Amazon and Zooplus within the defined perimeter and coordinates the implementation of the action plans with local teams.
The eCommerce Manager will devise and develop creative and profitable business solutions that serve both Vetoquinol and the eCommerce key accounts, developing long-term objectives and customer satisfaction goals.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
eCommerce Strategy
Responsible for the definition of a clear strategic plan on eCommerce for the defined geographical perimeter.
This position will collaborate on the strategy closely with the existing BEIM leader on eCommerce, the territory director and with the country managers of D-Europe.
Responsible for creating the full picture on eCommerce.
Understanding the regulatory and legal environment, locally and globally.
Responsible for an adequate segmentation and targeting of the Internet Retail environment. Manage and identify additional strategic eCommerce partners.
Responsible for setting up business intelligence dashboard on eCommerce. Full insights where Internet Retailers buy products and where they sell products to.
Responsible for setting the e-commerce uniform standards and priorities.
eCommerce Key Account Managers Support
Responsible for all activities related to partnering with Internet Retailers.
Works the tactical levels with the eCommerce and marketing team to ensure alignment with B2B growth and sales plans.
Steer creation and implementation of effective key account plans around eCommerce.
Oversee internet price monitoring.
Create optimized search content with ongoing updates to ensure marketplaces are fully optimized to increase search ranking and conversion.
Meet with eCommerce Key and Major Account Managers weekly, monthly, and/or quarterly regarding business updates, targets, marketing initiatives, etc.
Conducts all training, supervising, and evaluating of eCommerce managers.
Continuously improves the teams functioning, including the development of staff by providing effective coaching; contributes to LEAD reviews.
Responsible for proposing to the territory director adequate key performance indicators for him-/herself and the concerned local e-commerce key account managers and for its follow-up and for corrective actions, whenever needed.
Marketing
Assure that the e-commerce pricing is perfectly aligned with the overall product pricing strategy, defined by DMM (international range manager and group pricing manager).
Guidance on marketing initiatives, marketing calendars, promotional activities, publication requests, etc. from partnering eCommerce retailers.
Guidance on scheduling and managing training with eCommerce Key Accounts regarding new product additions, focus products promotions, technical services, etc.
Provides training of eCommerce KAM on eCommerce marketing and SEO background/knowledge to assist in partnering internet retailers with marketing strategies, campaigns, promotions, etc.
Explore digital options, ads, sponsorships, etc. with the eCommerce team to increase the overall digital brand footprint and build brand awareness on eCommerce marketplaces
Collaborate with existing eCommerce team, platform managers, and technical services veterinarians on D2C marketing, blogs, educational articles, and posts to include on social media, eCommerce websites, etc.
General/Administrative
Supports the company’s vision, mission, and demonstrates the corporate core values in all professional activities.
Complies with all safety requirements, work rules, and regulations.
Compiles and maintains all required paperwork, records, documents, etc.
Follows systems and procedures outlined in company manuals.
All other duties as requested by management.
MAIN WORKING RELATIONSHIPS (outside the hierarchical link): key account managers eCommerce; Marketing and Commercial Divisions at Group and Affiliate level, Finance & Legal, relevant functions in DIQ (Purchasing; Production; Supply Chain); Group Key Accounts Manager, Group Digital Manager, Group Pricing Manager.
Qualifications
3-5 yrs. Experience in a similar role, with an international scope
B2B & B2C - Pricing across Industries and Functions
Open working style focused on results
Strong business acumen and analytical skills
Understand value, how to create it, communicate it and capture it
Project management / Portfolio management
Good experience with Pricing Systems
Highly proficient in MS Office and in PowerBI
Fluent English
