Very early in his career as a cellar master, Louis Royer decided to found his own Cognac House on the bank of the Charente river in Jarnac, the site where the offices and cellars remain located today. The year was 1853. Here started the history of our House, which has then been nourished by its successors’ work and commitment. Louis Royer chose the bee as emblem from the very beginning. The bee represents the values that have always prevailed in our House. This is the symbol of diligence, of an efficient and lively organization, and symbol of a regional and craftsman work. Heritage of a long family tradition, our House is rich in history, know-how and passion. Five generations have handed down from father to son the treasures of their experience and the thousand little secrets that have turned Cognac making from a craft into a fine art. Each member of the Louis Royer beehive is tirelessly pursuing the demanding route that carries the noble Louis Royer Cognacs from their roots in the soil to prestigious tables throughout the world. Louis Royer Cognacs are renowned for their richness, their complexity, their excellence. Year after year, our cellar master continues its journey to the heart of flavours and aromas to create the incomparable blends that constitute the Louis Royer range. Our Cognacs are regularly awarded with the highest international distinctions.
