Description du poste

On behalf of our client, a large international manufacturer of high-level electrical equipment and solutions and a leader in digital technologies for energy management, we are looking for a Business Developer – Medium-Voltage Solutions for the region of Wallonia, who will be responsible for expanding a portfolio of services to existing clients through sales activities while also increasing service income within the designated area. Location: Walloon Region + flexible homeworking option As a Business Developer – Medium-Voltage Solutions, you will be in charge of the promotion and sales of a wide range of high-level technical solutions and services to your clients across industries. The services will include installing medium and high-voltage electrical distribution equipment, commissioning, testing, maintenance, repair, replacement, upgrade, modification, and modernising the equipment installed at the client's location. In addition, the services will comprise advisory, and digital services related to the installed equipment, as well as engineering services, monitoring services, quality audits, and the provision of new software solutions. Last but not least, you will establish and maintain close and lasting relationships with key clients – interact with them on a regular basis and be their trusted advisor. Key responsibilities: Identify the scope of work, make estimates, and sell system add-ons/modifications and maintenance contracts based on client needs and requirements Create and implement the annual sales plan, monitor margins, and ensure that sales targets are met or exceeded Use sales and account expertise to work with particular target groups – with an aim to increase the “sticking power” of your products and services, and improve customer retention rates Use the brownfield approach to obtain relevant and timely leads from your clients about the installed equipment Ensure client satisfaction while supervising all ongoing activities (order-to-delivery) Educate clients – help them understand your company's products and services, how they can make the most of your range, and why it can bring them added value Use CRM-related tools to prepare monthly forecasts and summaries Prepare also analyses and performance reports in an orderly and timely manner Work closely with intrapreneurs from a number of other key departments such as bids, internal sales, and other sales departments, in order to maximise business opportunities Work also with the marketing team to obtain relevant and timely information and leads as to the tracking of the installed equipment Provide, in turn, accurate and timely information to the bid team to help them prepare quotations and proposals As required, organise and/or visit trade fairs and marketing/sales workshops Relevant technical degree (Electrical Engineering, Electromechanics, Industrial Automation, or similar) Native proficiency in French; good command of English Experience in technical sales; knowledge of consultative selling and hunting will be a plus Knowledge of industrial electricity/electronics; interest in or knowledge of Medium and High-Voltage distribution solutions will be an asset Knowledge of MS Office suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and CRM-related tools Strong negotiation and sales management skills – the structured approach in managing the sales process and the salesforce Good communication skills and ability to build sustainable and reliable client relationships Excellent organisation skills and ability to deal with an intense workload Excellent verbal and written communication skills Sales-oriented personality; team player; committed to learning and education, and continuing personal and professional development A full-time employment contract A full and competitive compensation package with many adva...
