B&R France is currently looking for a Regional Sales Engineer based in our office of Vertou (44). As a Technical Sales Engineer, you will be responsible to grow the turnover (Equipment’s and Services) in your geographical area located in the West part of France. Your mission will be to win new OEM customers and to follow up existing one’s by offering them our technical automation solutions and products with high added value.



Your responsibilities

Farming (30%): Key Accounting on existing customers in the region

Turnover growth: Focus on ramp up from prototype to serial production
Make additional growth by crosseling’s actions
Technical follow-up: Exchanges with our Application department and Experts
Setting up meetings with our factory and R&D


Hunting (70%): Drive the entire sales cycle from initial customer engagement (business challenge and requirement) to closed sales for serial OEM and special machine builder.

Set up a sales strategy with the Sales Office Manager in the prospecting region to describe the objectives and the means to achieve them in terms of both equipment sales and services
Prospect for potential customers using various direct methods such as calling and face to face meetings, and indirect methods such as networking, qualify prospects and deliver proposals
Work with technical staff and product specialists when required to address customer requirements
Develop and maintain sales plans with the Sales Office Manager in the region which outline how sales targets will be met on an ongoing basis
Report on sales activity and provide forecasts to the Sales Office Manager. Provide information to market trends, competitive threats, unmet needs and sales opportunities
Keep detailed notes on prospect and customer interactions (CRM) and maintain the system updated
Work with the Customer Care teams and the factory to proactively address problems
Work with marketing to plan and execute lead generation campaigns and develop sales tools
Represent the company and its brand in the marketplace and during events
Attending team meeting and sharing best practice with colleagues
Continuously be updated on the B&R product line offering the technical depth needed in sales discussions



Your background


Technical :

5-10 years of Experience in Industrial Automation (Control, Motion, Robotics, Network, Safety and Scada systems).
Basic knowledge of mechanics
Experience with a machine manufacturer and commissioning will be a plus




Commercial :

First experience of selling automation solutions (Mechatronics solution will be a plus) • Knowledge of West regional industries, OEMs and end user customers
Ability to evolve in complex and international organizations with complex and long sales processes
Acting with initiative, autonomy and responsibility
Have a structured work method with customer at focus
Excellent communication skills.
