Job Description


The HPC and Cloud Solutions business line is looking for their Sales Manager for Large Accounts.


The HPC and Cloud Solutions business line was created last year as the result of the strategic evolution of the company becoming a global technology and HPC leader that provides data, products, services and solutions in Earth science, data science, sensing and monitoring.


The role belongs to Business Development and Sales Organization accountable for the definition of the Business and sales strategy, business plan and go to market definition and the execution of that plan. The team develops business opportunities and sales for CGG's Cloud/HPC business with the objective of increasing revenue and profitable growth. All the team members share the same passion for innovation and a fine understanding of the markets and needs.


This role is a job creation and will be the first full time Sales position in the team. The successful candidate will play a significant role in shaping the sales organization and strategy, building the client pipeline, and negotiating and closing the deals that will drive the business line’s revenues for the future.


KEY JOB RESPONSABILITIES


1. Accelerate the development of the sales organization



Develop long term sales pipeline to increase the company's market share in HPC and AI market,
Use specialty expertise to seek out new opportunities for customer value by expanding and enhancing existing opportunities to build the pipeline in and drive pursuit in specialty area,
Sell complex products, services or solutions to customers on a partnership basis,
Provide support to the future account managers,
Work with the account team to build an effective account plan and strategy to drive incremental revenue in the account,

2. Develop external awareness and extend CGG ecosystem



Create and grow reference customers,
Increase awareness of CGG within our target industries by participating in major conferences,
Maintain broad market and competitor knowledge to ensure credibility with Customer Executives,
Maintain knowledge of industry trends, associated solutions, and key partner/ISV solutions,
Work effectively with our partners to drive additional revenue,

3. Understand HPCCS existing business and foresee future business



In collaboration with the Business Development team, set direction for business development and solution replication,
Supported by the other teams of the department, coordinate the HPC, AI and Cloud experts from other areas of the Organization to align the client's business needs with solution,
Contribute to improve the portfolio by bringing Sales’ feedbacks to the Solutions’ teams,
Leverage the HPC and Cloud Solution’s portfolio of products, services and cloud solutions to change the playing field against our competition,

4. Responsible for the end-to-end sale cycle



May act as a dedicated resource to a few strategic accounts,
Opportunistically, be responsible for selling small HPC&AI deals,
Responsible for HPC and AI Cloud sales in accounts - prospecting, negotiating and closing deals,
Responsible for driving full portfolio including hardware, software, Cloud and services needed for the customer's requirements,
Balance strategic and tactical pursuits to optimize coverage and develop a predictable revenue stream,
Use C-level engagement skills in collaboration with account leads to offer value-add solutions to the client,

5. Understand and anticipate on CGG’s customer needs



Establish a professional, working and consultative relationship with clients, including the C- level by developing a core understanding of the unique business needs of the clients within their industry,
Maintain and use overall cross-portfolio knowledge to support account leads with integration of solutions,
Contribute to enduring executive relationships that establish the company's professionalism and promote its total solution capabilities,
Maintain expertise on IT at all levels - new applications, maintenance, typical budgets of the CIO's, typical objectives, measures, metrics,

Qualifications



At least 5 years of experience in technical selling in the HPC & AI Cloud,
Has developed business in their vertical in different geographies, preferably in the European Union, UK and/or USA. An experience in Middle East or South East Asia is a plus,
Sales and account management including prospecting and leads’ generation and nurturing experience,
Building long-lasting client relationships,
Interpersonal and presentation skills,
Leadership and influence,
Negotiation skills,
Planning and organization skills,
Sales tracking or customer relationship management (CRM) software,
Language used on the job : English,
