Purpose of the role
With the primary focus on prospecting and gaining new customers, this is an exciting opportunity to work in a high-potential territory, for the global market leader in information solutions. The job involves the consultative promotion and selling of scientific and patent related information solutions to Legal, R&D and Business departments of client organizations.
The successful candidate must be prepared to proactively seek new business opportunities and to spend 75% of their time on face-to-face or online meetings with prospects and clients in France and Spain.
Duties Include:
Meet sales targets and activity goals
Show initiative and imagination in finding new customers
Understand client needs and issues
Work consultatively and creatively to find solutions
Steer relationships towards strategic partnerships status
Liaise effectively with internal support services to maximize sales opportunities
Prioritize and manage time effectively
To take responsibility for identifying own training and developmental on an on-going basis.
To undertake any other reasonable duties as requested by your line manager/director on a permanent or temporary basis.
Experience:
Consistent track record of successful consultative selling
Excellent written, verbal, interpersonal, presentation and negotiation skills
Knowledge of the engineering / technology sector
Knowledge of the information industry
Fluency in French and Spanish is required.
A good team player with the ability to work on own initiative
Well organized and disciplined with regards policy, procedure and standards.
Language requirements:
French and Spanish language
