Job Description:

As a Cloudera’s Senior Partner Solutions Engineer you will utilize your strong technical, business, teaming competencies and customer skills to provide the highest level of business and technical consultation to Partner teams, prospects and customers to support sales and channel goals.

Job Responsibilities:

Drive Cloudera strategic partners to source and add material value on opportunities by evangelizing, enabling and engaging with partners Drive face to face workshops with partners and customers Collaborate with ecosystem partners to develop joint solutions that we can take to market to drive net new opportunities Champion partner requirements and be the voice of partners at Cloudera Present roadmap, vision, proposed architectures and business outcomes to all levels – developers, architects, CTO, CIO Fluent with core differentiators across the competitive landscape Drive joint events with partners from face to face, white papers and digital Mentor associates and solution engineers in creation and maintenance of enablement materials across the team Participate in contribution to internal and external knowledge repositories Mentor associate and solution engineer with partner/account specific technical strategies Drive high levels of partner satisfaction Help the local sales team by providing guidance, best practices and your deep understanding of the partner landscape in that account Ability to work as part of a team and work closely with your Partner Sales Manager Keep up to date on Cloudera technologies and how-to unique pitch Cloudera USP

Qualifications:

12 years of related experience with a degree or higher in Engineering, Computer Science or Math’s Demonstrated knowledge and experience of Apache Hadoop (HDFS & YARN), Containers (K8, Docker, OpenShift), Object stores (S3, ADLS, WASB, GCS, Ceph etc.) and can talk to the benefits of a centralized, cloud and containerized architecture for both data management and data access. Enterprise Software, Cloud and Big Data experience. Excellent understating of (Hardware, Storage, Network), Java/.NET, and SQL. You have an interest in Data Science and understand the difference between Data Engineering and Applied Science. In-depth knowledge of Linux and SQL – query optimization and data model design Demonstrable ability to create and give technical presentations and demo Excellent communicator who has experience presenting to a wide range of audiences Experience seeing the entire lifecycle from conception to design to technology evaluation to pilot program to implementation to maintenance and support Ability to switch context quickly throughout the day with numerous competing demands Hands-on, technical, problem solver personality Development experience with Java / OO programming Unix/Linux expertise a must Confidence working with customers and public speaking Demonstrated experience gathering and understanding customer business requirements Experience with data warehousing and relational database architecture Knowledge of distributed systems, ETL and ETL workflows

Bonus Qualifications:

Previous experience working in channel or partner engineering organization Solution Architecture/Engineering experience as a field of practice (able to listen to partners requirements, whiteboard and propose solution architecture, and get hands-on with the tech to design, build, and demonstrate real business value) Extensive Public Cloud Implementation Experience (AWS, Azure, Google, IBM) IOT & Streaming experience (Nifi, Kafka, Spark, Solr etc.) Data Science experience (Machine Learning, Deep Learning, Competitive ML/DL/AI Landscape Knowledge) Kubernetes and Docker Expertise and extensive knowledge of different offering in this space. EDW experience – Impala, Hive, the Teradata, Netezza, DB2, Vertica, GreenPlum, Exadata, Redshift, BigQuery, BigSQL, Snowflake, Databricks of the world Integration Products experience (Informatica, Talend, IBM, Oracle, BI Tools, etc.) You thrive in a changing environment
